Yo im back again, to make it simple its very low its almost in the floor. The game auto decides all of your dives for you (which can cause you to get scored on because the game chooses the wrong one sometimes) you cant manually go for a high dive or low dive or even a lay down. Magnet range is too large whether its a grab or a deflect their hitbox is simply just too large. I am fully aware what im asking isnt easy at all to implement but make keeper more manual and reduce the hitbox

At least have more shots get parried away or back into danger rather than how 90%+ are caught. The way the keeper can hold onto then distribute everything relieves all pressure on the defence as soon as they save something.

im gonna be so fr with you man, the skill ceiling for gks in this game is the highest out of any other position hands down. i’ve played against you and i know your guys know me and my team and that you know what works and what the limits of a goal keeper are. respectfully, making the goalkeeper an even more difficult position to play than it already is would be a weird ask man. Keeper dive is already the lowest priority input in the entire game. unless the goalkeeper slides at you, you can just side dash around them, let alone any other more advanced and way more effective dribble moves, and anyone that isnt literally one of the top goalkeepers on planet earth atm would bite and let it get past them. There are a myriad of easy dribble moves that let you get by with nearly no repercussions if the keeper bites too early, and there are so so many weak spots in goalkeeping that you can figure out if you just play the position yourself and see what shots and spots are most awkward for you. You can even use that to get better with offense. My team and i sat in customs for hours trying different angles, different distances, high, low, blade, dribble, 1on1, etc etc and figured out exactly how to recognize flaws in an opposing team’s goalie and how to take advantage of it. In ranked in particular, even the average elite goalie is so crap that this shouldnt even be a complaint. Dont take a shot when the gk is up in your face, dont shoot directly at where they’re standing as a pass shot, shots from the sides are infinitely easier for goalkeepers to save because, just on angles and simple math, its a smaller space to cover. also anything shot from outside the box isnt gonna go in like cmon. if anything you even admit that gks get screwed because the dynamic dive is a lil finicky, but even then thats often because of preemptive diving or just jumping way too soon. The closer you are to the ball when you jump and also jumping after the player interaction or after a player receives it is your best bet for not jumping over the ball. and even then its entirely positioning based on whether or not you can just cut off the angle or if your defense has had a critical failure and allowed people to close enough that you do have to pre dive

it actually pisses me off because it seems to happen either at the beginning or at the ends of the animation if you input too early or too late but it still feels completely random and i’ve been scored on in tourneys from a ball getting punched that otherwise feels like it should have been grabbed
