I know a lot of people like to make fun of their ranked teammates having no braincells, but recently I'm starting to blame the matchmaking system. I am currently in gold 1, and I just found out that most of the time I'm not even placed with gold players, but rather bronze and silvers.
I just had a game recently when I turned on my mic to tell my teammates to pass the ball (he was ball hogging and attempting to dribble pass the whole team) then he and his friend (I assumed because they kept defending each other) proceeded to tell me to have a cry because this is silver. I was shocked, not because my teammates told me horrible things, but because I'm playing with silvers when I'm almost at my ranking up game to platinum. This is just one of many scenarios I've faced. What is this matchmaking system?? I'm genuinely annoyed that the game sees it's okay to put these silver and gold players randomly together. It makes it so hard and unfair to rank up. I'm almost certain I'd have reached platinum by now if it weren't for being stuck in a team full of silvers.
I haven't even gotten started on how there are no punishments for those who;
- quit in the middle of the match
- spam calls Pass the ball and then immediately turns the ball over
- are generally just toxic
- scores own goals intentionally. (if you're losing by 3, then is it so hard to enforce a Forfeit button?)
and so much more.
Can we please do something about the whole competitive system. I know the game is still new but playing it right now has made me lose my sanity.
There are loads more I want to suggest and talk about, but I can't fit it all in one post.
Fix your matchmaking, (nothing against you if you're in silver or bronze, I just want to rank up) I just personally don't want silver or bronze players in my ranked games.
