#Passing back to the keeper is too good.

It is happening more and more that people with like 1 min or 1,5 min just start passing between defenders and keeper to waste time. If you are down 1 goal people are not playing the game, but are just wasting time. My suggestion is that the keeper can only pick up the ball and have shots that can't be properly deflected once, until the ball crosses the middle or a attacker has touched the ball. It is impossible to get the ball from the other team if they don't make a big mistake at the moment. I've had games where people just do this for close to 2 min, I don't think this is oke or fun.

Literally a football tactic

Imo fair advantage. You are winning 1-0 so you can play slow and try to find opening by playing with keeper. Team that is losing 0-1 needs to take risk and pressure keeper or backed players.
The problem is not playing towards keeper but cherry pickers who can't play game outside of standing in one place and waiting for ball to be delivered directly on their feet. Good forward will pressure keeper and sometimes make him do mistake and turn it over into goal threat.

In football the keeper can't pick up the ball when its passed to them, in football the ball from the keeper isn't magic and can be properly deflected. In this game you can pick up the ball and the ball from the keeper is magic, which is fine. But people are abusing the change in rules. All I am saying is reduce the power of the changes from actual football. Not that if you have been passing back and forth for 30 sec you lose the game.

So make it only once tbh

In football i would be banned from playing ever again by ammount of fouls in 6 minute match, so what's your point?
It's not that hard to pressure keeper in this game and 1 mistake on keeper side could mean losing goal. So forwards just need to learn how to pressure, that's all.

Also what do you mean ball from the keeper being magic?

I actually kind of agree, only headers and random bounces from teammates should be allowed to be handled by the goalie. Brings another layer of skill into the game.
(Maybe only in ranked, keep it the way it is in QP?)

I'd actually prefer it if invulnerability was shrunk from 2.65 seconds on a pass back to basically instantaneous. They aren't going to make it so that the GK interacts with incoming balls from anyone differently (i.e. you should still be able to catch stuff with your hands), but it should probably just immediately drop it.

As it is now, the shorter time of invulnerability is MORE confusing than if it didn't give you any at all. People that don't play GK all the time are like "I just picked it up, why am I dropping it after some shorter period of time?!!!"

That said, likely the invulnerability is there so that you have a moment to run out of the net before dropping it, should you have to dive for a teammate's pass back and end up behind the line.

In short: Probably not going to change much, if at all. Better start brushing off those pressing skills.

# solemn junco In most competetive games winning isn't "fun" and more about minmaxing and using...

Really? Most competitive games are not fun??? What I am saying is the thing being optimized doesn't have to be the way it is. I'm sorry but this seems like a very disingenuous take. I like optimizing, that is fun to me. Mastering things is fun for me. But the more I climb the more this 1 thing is bothering me because it happends more and more, I am Master now and it is getting on my nerves at this point. Saying ooh but it isn't meant to be fun??? Oke bro, if a game isn't fun for me I quit. This game is fun, but the abuse of the goalkeeper rules (which can be changed) is bad imo.
