I would like to see more deflections on obviously powerful shots and less automatic catching.

AFAIK Extra Effort shots are deflected, normal shots are caught unless its almost out of reach of keeper which also gets deflected.

Think about it as goal keeper role is the most boring role . If they make it harder then less people will be interessted to play this . All goalkeepers will start leaving their positions .

I don't think it's boring, but it's certainly not for the feint of heart (and most people are chicken). However, I agree that making it even harder to get catches will make even more people run.

I'm down for deflections for near misses, but if the ball hits you right in the feet/chest/hands, it should be a catch.

I am 30 years old, I have been a goalkeeper in real life during my youth, I have been a goalkeeper in Fifa's proclubs mode between the ages of 25 and 30, but goalkeeping has become boring even for me because it is incredibly easy to score goals.

This is wrong and will make goalkeeper's role boring . If such a thing is added, I might my self start leaving the goal.
