I know you can sometimes see it by the players who join in the message feed, but that's not always accurate.
It has happened on multiple occasions that the colour palettes are similar enough that it makes passing really hard. Blue and dark red on the underwater map for example.
It would just be nice to see so you can pick a contrasting colour.
If this is actually already a feature, please make it more obvious because I haven't found it 😆

Came here to post this. I typically select my home gear which is black as a primary color, but there's a number of away colors that read as too similar on the minimap (and out on the pitch), such as the dark purple. I'd love to see what the different Home/Away match ups would possibly be when making the selection as to how I want to see the game.

Ye, its often a roulette what the other team has picked. Not easy. I really hope to see a preview soon.
My main color is red but when there's purples or blacks involved id rather play in yellow because of the minimap issue

I've changed over to just picking my Away team colors (white/white/red) for every match. There's no way anything looks close for home colors that way (as far as I can tell). Which sucks because black/red/white looks so much better. Playing black vs. purple or blue on the space map is a constant confusion.

You can just choose your captains colours can't you? The opposing captains colours are always contrasting so you should be fine and I'm sure you will always see the opposing captains colours...

Thats not true
Because the opposing captain can choose colors too
So its perfectly possible you are the home team with dark blue and the opponents are dark blue away

I don't think that's true, in sure the game always shows you your opposing captains colours no matter what they choose for themselves.

Hmm... I was pretty sure that if you choose Home, what you see is the opponent team's Captains AWAY colors. And vice versa. If you are saying that if the opposing team chooses their Home colors and you choose your Home colors, that both teams would show their Home colors.
That'd mean that it's possible that both teams could literally be the same exact primary color, which I've never seen (and I would imagine would be statistically likely at this point... I'm at like 85 hours). I HAVE seen Black vs. Purples, though... which I believe means that there is a shade of Purple that can be selected as a primary color for Away jerseys.
