I am playing from Kuwait which is in the middle east and the lag in the beta when connecting to EU servers feels pretty bad. If it would be possible to add MENA servers in Dubai, Bahrain or Saudi Arabia would be amazing because I know there is a player base for this game in the region but with the lag I don't see too many of them sticking around long after launch. Please consider this region as a whole because most video games don't and the ones that do are played more often here.

Servers specifically around the M.E or maybe North Africa region examples; Egypt, Libya will deffo allow for North-Central africans and M.E players to have less ping.

to add onto that, with 2 out of thee 5 current qualifying being in the Middle East and 1 closer to the middle east than the other server regions that rematch offers, i do believe that, not because they qualified, but the amount of people currently hyped up for the upcoming football season, will definitely get more people psyched about soccer games and more importantly this game.

but, who am i to plead my case. i am but a player, the developers and owners have the final say for this game

I believe they will listen. They probably wanted to minimize spending for the betas but hopefully they will add it for the full release once they saw a decent audience in the region

Rocket league dealt with this problem as well, they didn't add ME servers until maybe 2019 or 2020 (perhaps later, I can't remember), but the esport scene especially football related is booming there

My opinion is merge Mena Servers and play in EU until the game build a huge fanbase in Mena region more than that. then later it can release the MENA server. since if you noticed in league of legends MENA server is so bad no playerbase

from my experience the MENA servers in league are just more toxic and a lot of AFK players so a lot of MENA players choose EU for the better experience and the fact that league has region based accounts. But with rematch if they add a way to choose servers like Valorant or CS people will play what makes them comfortable. I do see your point though that their might not be enough people but less people will buy the game if forced to play on 100+ ping is how i see it. ❤️ you though

The low players and the afk and toxic stuff in league of legends doesn’t matter here. it’s a different game and it’s about football.. Who made the decision to place Middle East servers in Turkey, despite it being geographically located in Europe and Asia—not the Middle East?

As Middle Eastern players, we usually connect to servers in Dubai, Riyadh, Bahrain, or sometimes Qatar. Placing servers in Turkey gives us higher ping and a worse experience.

We need your support as a company (I’m not sure if you’re part of the development team, but please pass this message along) to provide better servers and reduce latency for players in the actual Middle East region.

If the company has no intention to make improvements or provide support for our region, we deserve to know.

We purchased the game with the expectation that Middle East servers would actually be located within the Middle East—not in Turkey.

Please let us know whether the company plans to help or simply ignore the issue.

Also, could you let me know your role regarding server support, so I know who to contact for any further server-related problems?

Hello. The problem we are facing is that apparently the middle east server is located in turkey. Which is mostly in Europe. So we are getting 120-190 ms ping when we play on the middle east servers. Please if you could, relocate the server to either bahrain, saudi arabia, uae. AWS, Azure, and google cloud servers are there for use. Would appreciate your feedback regarding this point and appreciate your help regarding this matter.

@soft jolt i get 140 MS in jordan, i believe the primary issue here is poor routing to qatar servers, if you can use bahrain servers which other games already use and ISPs are adapted to it could fix the issue

i doubt its the providers fault honestly, for example in valorant when middle east first launched (bahrain) most people had very poor ping and it took sometime for ISPs to fix their routing to bahrain

I am currently located in the State of Qatar, and the in-game ping I experience is excellent — which is expected, as the server is located in Qatar. However, many other players are experiencing extremely high and unstable ping levels, which I believe is due to inefficient routing.

From my observation, the issue appears to stem from how the network routes are configured. It is important to mention that other games — such as League of Legends — previously had servers hosted in Qatar, and we never encountered such major ping discrepancies between players.

In many online games, when servers are hosted in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, or Dubai (UAE), players from across the region generally experience stable and closely matched ping values. The differences are usually within a small range of 10 to 15, or at most 20 milliseconds, which is acceptable for competitive gameplay.

Given this, I kindly request that you look into the current routing setup and explore ways to optimize it. Improving the routing paths between players and your servers across the Middle East would significantly enhance the gaming experience and reduce frustration among the regional player base.

You’re right routing in online games especially for regions like the Middle East where geography and inter-country ISP relations play a huge role in latency stability. If the server is in Qatar, and you’re getting excellent ping while others are not, it’s highly likely the issue stems from inefficient routing paths or suboptimal peering agreements between ISPs and the game server’s host

Yes there is, the routing to amazon AWS server to Bahrain is more consumer friendly with almost all ISPs averaging ping to 10-30 ms, while Qatar in the other hand have weird routing that only limited isps can get decent pings while the rest can get up to 150ms. You can check and see the average ping of players playing in the server to validate the above.

Hi just in case the issue hasn’t been fixed already. The absolute best country to put your servers in are either Bahrain or saudia. Many popular games use these countries and we get good ping on them for example epic games, they use Bahrain for Fortnite and rocket league

Hey there, you should tag in Qatar only when locking region to ME. The problem from before was that people from ME would mostly tag un turkey because of a bug, that has now been solved.

i wish i was joking but not even in the EU server it's playable, the game requires more precision, reaction speed and thinking, with any ping 90+ the game just becomes unplayable since you are always at a disadvantage.

as much as i love this game but it is more frustrating than fun when it comes to playing and you miss the ball even when the enemy comes out of nowhere and take the ball or when you have the ball and all of sudden it teleport to a nearby player

and as a keeper when the game show you that you grabbed the ball but due to ping difference the ball just go past you because you grabbed it 0.5second at same time as someone kicking it

I’ve played 65 games so far. 90% of them are 3s because it’s the only way I could get into any match whatsoever. I only play other modes if my group leader is European. The beta didn’t have any of these issues it’s so weird. Connectivity is pretty good and the game isn’t as laggy at all. But yeah q times are crazy. Also there’s a huge bug on trophies regarding leveling up on PlayStation. 0 people have the get to level 10 trophy lol

The problem is the ping on ME is 180+ and in Europe its 120+ so its very difficult to play especially if you want to rank up that being said on europe the game fells kinda fluid with the ball but when you try to intercpret a ball or when the ball hit you it's very laggy its like the frames pause for a moment

By the way the game in ME is unplayable sometimes the ball and players disappear from a location and appear on another

The thing is it’s always laggy for some countries when the server is in Qatar

The main problem for me is the Insane ping variation even within a region. And on top of that it's insanely unstable.

For example in league of legends I have always, every game 47 ping.
On rematch It varies from 40 to 100 ping average... Average because it always fluctuates by +/- 10 ping. Unstable ping is what causes most of the desync and rubber banding.

Hey guys, sorry for not answering earlier, as Gego mentioned we were working on it, and we tested few things. We plan to deploy a solution that should help with the overall speed of the game on regions that have lower pings. We are also working with our network partners to see why on our game the ping seem to be higher than on other games. It is a slow process because we do not want to mess up and so we are taking steps one at a time. I know one month seems long for you guys, we are working on many topics with many regions to monitor and quite a lot of stuff to do to improve the game at the same time. Hopefully next time we talk it will be much better.
