This is a good idea. To keep it positive they might just do what marvel rivals does and allows you to up vote only. So it could just be that the more you are up voted by your team ,the more you play with up voted players.

yea i agree, downvotes would mostly be used for bad players - not missing teamplay , so to only allow upvotes would encourage teamplay

For a simple and definitely not going to happen system of filtering these players out:

  • Mark down anyone who uses an emote more than twice in a row
  • Increase this by 3x the score for anyone does it after your team takes a goal
  • Increase this by 10x the score if said player then responds with 'Sorry' after taking a goal themselves as keeper in the same match

LoL for example allows you to only upvote 1 mate at the end of the match - including a friend from your list but this is discussable imo

you will not be able to sort out the toxic ones but you will be able to have good teammates if you act right yourself and earn a lot of honor

Fair enough, if it works and cant be abused then why not. I have played with so many toxic ppl already that make me want to just slam my face into the keyboard before the game is halfway through lmao. Expected it though, came from rl and football is just as competitive 😂

Imagine being unlucky one day and finding out of 10 matches 7 full of toxic people who down vote you and destroy your reputation. Then you end up in a queue with low honorable people and maybe you can't get out of it.

The upvotes are just to encourage people to be nice, and the downvotes are basically a net to try and catch toxicity by giving it an outlet

The reputation system the guy proposed seems way too easy to abuse. If you solo queue against a 4-stack and they all downvote you just for existing, and that happens a few more times… then what? You get stuck with other “low rep” players for no real reason.

Reputation should definitely exist, but just for fun — like a stat you can show during the match loading screen or something. It should have zero impact on matchmaking.
