fifa is buns
Dont play Rematch we will do fine anyway
fifa isnt trash… its js ea making it money grabs
Shop on ea fc
fifa was good when it wasnt out
but fifa and rematch are very different games I think.
Even tho it might have some overlap of fanbase, most wont.
One is highly team based and tatical, the other is a gacha packet opening simulator
Rematch is better in every aspect
FIFA 98 was PEAK
A game must be a game
Fifa can't even simulate real life football
Impossibile shots
Scripta everywhere
holy 1k replies
Record... If u want to play buy the game if not wait a couple of years then it will become f2p if it will become more popular
idk its js more nostalgic for me ig since i grew up playing it w my cousins
.
tbh i just mowed lawns to get the money
I'll say that the only reason why it should be cheaper just solely on the fact that it's doesn't seem to use a central server to handle in-game interactions
🤣🤣
no ones forcing you to buy it though either buy it or dont, they dont care that you're complaining
these people are clowns
im so glad i'll be playing the same 4 gamemodes
the game is finished so ig we wont get any more game modees 😔
A 11v11 mode would be cool
For sure
Fifa is a buggy as hell reskin that many people pay $60+ for annually to have the pleasure of getting some players moved around not including the money they sink into buying player packs to be able to consider competing online.
stop crying over this and get a job, they are an INDIE company and this game deserves to be paid for. I'm tired of reading kids and also unemployed ppl who wants to play the game but doesn't want to pay anything for it, are u for real telling us that 25$ it's too much for a game that u gonna be playing ALL THE YEAR??
no
it would be not, it would be impossible to play with 11randoms who only dribble, dont pass, shoot from midfield for clips and getting the ball once in 5 mins
i mean, on custom matches
u didnt say that couldnt know that
np
play 11v11 with randoms would be a vision of hell
Already bought it so just let me complain about my decisions
I think they should make more betas
The servers actually sucks now
If they release the game like It was before 😭😭😭
tbf if you buy it you have 2 weeks to refund from steam
Steam goes by playtime too
yes but since we haven’t played the actual rematch game it’s still available to be refunded i’m basically saying if you regret your decision that bad u can still refund it
You should get a Job then you can buy it 😭
Deadass😂😭
If yalls broke just say that
Huh
Booo scary!
I am not saying the game should be free big dawg
This isnt to you then good sir
To the guy who can’t afford a 30 dollar game in the Big 2025
You just happened to be in the way
Alright my bad GumballUnion on PlayStation
Its all good Lewi on Spotify
Please take off your downvote my karma rating is bad now
Good man cruor5323 on Discord

I just like the game and if you don’t think the game should cost money ask yourself this question
If you invented something that people liked and it shows that people enjoyed what you had to offer when it was free
You mean to tell me further on down the line you’ll keep it free?
If you were to put a price tag on this game it should cost $70 but because it would be non stop bitching by the people who can’t afford it they made the game affordable
@analog epoch The game does not offer alot to cost 70 dollars. Nothing in the game would cause it to cost that price tag you are talking about . It is just 1 mode and some coding for a character . Most of the stuff come out of the box with Unreal engine . I bet you anyone with minimal skills at coding can make the game. We have seen people redoing big games in a month of coding and they achived unbelivable result.
Then why nobody ever made a football game like this?
Probably cause isn't that easy to make... And u just saying bullshit
💀💀
I hope this is ragebait
You’re either trolling or you’re just not articulating your words in a fathomable manner
You’re basically downplaying game design, netcode, animation polish, UX, testing, live servers, and literal months of iteration as if they’re drag-and-drop.
You have zero respect for the actual production pipeline behind games.
If making a polished, competitive multiplayer game was as easy as drag and drop in Unreal, everyone would be doing it, and it wouldn’t take full dev teams years to deliver it at a high level.
You’re not paying $30 for ‘just coding’ but you’re paying for balanced gameplay, live servers, quality control, support, animation, design vision, and actual depth.
It just funny how you say there’s nothing in the game that makes it worth money but there’s a reason why you want to play it
@analog epoch I get that game development is a complex process, and I'm not trying to undermine the work that goes into creating a game. My original point was more about perceived value rather than difficulty.
When a game launches at a $70 price point, people naturally expect a certain level of content, polish, and replayability. In the case of Rematch, while it's well made and the concept is cool, it doesn't feel like it offers enough depth or variety to justify that premium price tag—at least not right now.
For context, FIFA has been refining its gameplay and systems for decades and offers multiple modes, licenses, commentary, career systems, and a massive online infrastructure. Rematch, by contrast, offers one game mode and relatively limited content. Yes, it's polished and the netcode seems solid we can see that in the last beta test how terrible it was, but it's still quite barebones in terms of overall features.
As for development difficulty: I'm not saying it's “easy” to make games. But the point is, some of the foundational systems—like basic player movement, ball physics, character models—can be prototyped fairly quickly using tools like Unreal Engine. That doesn’t mean the game is worthless, just that the asking price might feel disproportionate when weighed against how much content and innovation it brings compared to other games in the same price range.
Currently with the latest beta test in my point of view the game isnt really worth the 15 dollars , Yet people will buy it and I might buy it my self too. Simply everyone looking for something fun for now.
I can agree there’s been moments a lot of them where it was laggy and buggy, but have you realized that’s only the beta? Sloclap gave you more than a free sample, allowing you to earn stuff within the battle pass for free. Of course, you don’t see why it should cost money because you’re too focused on a beta product, which more than likely won’t be the final touch, but I get it no one wants to feel like they overpaid for something that doesn’t meet their expectations. But comparing Rematch to FIFA is like comparing an indie film to a Marvel blockbuster. Different scale, different resources, and a different stage of development.
The question isn’t ‘Is it worth $70 compared to FIFA?’ It’s “Is it worth supporting a studio that’s trying to offer something different, competitive, and player-first without selling its soul to microtransactions or copying the meta?”
🤣 🤣
You lost me at fifa
EA sells you reskins every year and you have no complains about it, but once a company offers you a lifetime product with a fun formula and half the price you say it ain't deserve it's price
rematch even sells at 15$ at some regions
Yeah fifa is a bad example
We have seen BF2042 beta and after beta .
that game still has terrible hit reg after like 5 years 😭
No way, just let them have the money bro. How could you possibly complain about its price?
It's day 1 on game pass, and it's half the price of cardboard cut copies of FC
I've already gotten 60 hours in this game 40 of which is prob gameplay
For free
That's more than a fair few other games I've paid for
I'll easily have this game as the first one I put 1000+ hours into on steam
I imagine a lot of other people would agree
Sure, but it’s undeniable that making the game free would skyrocket its popularity. I think the current price is fair, especially compared to other games, but not everyone is willing to pay for something like this.
I’ve got a big group of friends and I’m the only one who bought it. I don’t mind — I like meeting new people and the beta helped me find cool teammates. But being able to say “hey it’s free, come try it” would’ve been a huge win for both the game and the community.
Free access would grow the playerbase fast — and more players means more visibility, more word of mouth, and more chances to monetize in the long run. It’s not a loss, it’s an investment.
The price is good and I would have bought the game regardless because as you said it is fun and promising, I'm just worried about the playerbase in the long run.
This is just not true, Most F2P games make NO MONEY at launch or multiple months AFTER LAUNCH. This is why most F2P games that are not funded by Big company's flop (there are exceptions of course but outliers don't justify the stats) did you know there was a F2P game similar to rematch? no you didn't, cause it was f2p and had no money so it died.
Roller champions is another good example, genuinely an interesting idea and unique, it went F2P for its model and even when funded by UBISOFT it did not make enough money
Gonna reiterate what me and @shrewd estuary said on another thread that it’d be cool to have a demo version where you can play like 8-10 unranked games for completely free or something
roller champions is nothing compared to rematch, rematch already from the beta you can see that it is a successful project of a team that cares (and above all PLAYS their game)
Free game = afk bot farming game.
Roller champions had a bunch of care from the devs and multiple private betas addressing multiple issues before its public launch. Passion was not the issue. It was the fact it just made no money.
With no money you cant get advertising to get more people into the game or justify your publisher to give you more money
idk bro, the game bored me after a few hours, it was the same thing without any kind of strategy.
but I understand, I repeat the only thing that worries me is the player base at the moment.
I wouldn't want it to be bought by just a few people and after a few weeks it will end up like many other games.
Hold on does anyone have anything against this?
They already had almost a million pre orders and that was multiple betas ago so i think we are good for now. Plus it will be free" on game pass which will give even more people.
it's ok, it should be everywhere as a thing. a good example is the new Dune. it costs really too much even if it seems promising and fun it doesn't encourage me to spend 50€
for real?
Yes bro, you can go back in there tweets if you dont believe me, i think you understimate how many people only play fifa cause theres nothing else in the market
this is also true.
I wouldn't want the game's longevity to be a few months or worse a few weeks.
Well we do have ways to fix that
i trust you, I'm happy if that's the case. I hope the best for this game.
All is not doomerism
how
Wdym they can change the mechanics for better or worse
They’ve already said new dribble moves
They already stated they will be adding limited time mods with unique stuff. An example the dev gave is that the game used to have wall runing and they are thinking of adding that back in as a limmited time mode for example
Way more things too like guilds/clubs although doesn’t really move the needle etc
but they were very vague, I hope it's actually something they've seriously considered.
did they? I havent seen this but it be interesting to get some type of nutmeg pass
Idk how a nutmeg would be implemented
How’s that animation gonna work
The defensive stance already closes my legs pretty close together
cool, but in my opinion the game will be very competitive, it will be difficult to ensure that people don't get tired of doing ranked.
Make it so the defender can counter by pressing tackle at the right time? Just gives them possesion
Idk I said in another thread I want very hard dribble moves that require full button combos
Idk
It could work if they aren’t in a defensive stance tbh
I think some people are worried you are talking about fifa type moves that just "win" because you memorised a combo.
Are they doing ranked rewards? If not they need to add asap
or give you invincible frames
I should win more then I did before if I spent the time to learn it
I think it was because people are terrified of cumbersome fifa-style combos
idk, but they have to come up with something to safeguard the competitive life of the game.
nah, the game is very postion based. you should not have a (i pressed a combo so i walk past you move) Im all for more dribble moves with the same system in place.
esports for this game could be very profitable and the developers didn't waste too much time, day 17 there is an early access tournament for content creators.
I’m just slightly concerned man because half of me wonders if hitting the ball off the back board gets stale
Decay system FTW
it is already
As people get better this will be less used. In high ranks a normal cross was more efficient than using the back board since goalkeeper can just take it off your legs (when the game wanted to work anyway lol)
Just hoping I’ll get the ability to see my teammates stamina
That trick where you shoot the ball off the wall to bait the keeper into diving is completely useless already. As soon as you rank up or face a calm, competent goalie, they’ll always grab the rebound. With catch priority, they shut the whole play down every time.
Good we have an enforcement mechanism then
I recommend finding other ways to finish and even simply avoiding passing the ball that way.
Yeah, the real issue now is that direct finishing has become much harder — especially with the bigger goalkeeper hitboxes. That’s one of the reason of matches ending 1-0 or 2-1 now, while before we used to see way higher scores.
i dont see how a games in jeopardy because you have to pay for it
any friends i have that dont want to buy it, is simply because they dont have the time
I live in Turkey and even though our economic conditions are terrible, even I was able to buy the game, so it's not a lot of money, 15 dollars.
1 Dolar = 39,44 Turkish Liras.
It's very much about the money and the fact you just don't want to pay for it. Stop lying.
Sim kkk
Roller Champions marketing is almost none I feel
even if prices are a problem you can always wait on a sale and if the devs really think this is a problem too then they can think about localized prices for the game
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lSofMoSdMqw
but this def wont happen immediately
They had a trailer and paid streamers playing the game with a good amount oif viewers. Just no funding after (due to the game just being fre 2 play) to make any of those initial investments worth it
classic ubisoft
Eh, using streamers never worked for a new idea/franchise I feel
