if he fake it that dedicated just to get my steam id so be it
but he can't steal your account from steam id
so chill
sloclap have over 60 workers so it can be possible that he didn't have role

I've been having the same problem. If a friend invites me I can play, but if I try to search for a match I get a matchmaking error literally 1 second after pressing the button
So we're suspecting a small drift / desync between us and your computer's local time.
If you could try the following steps, restart the game, and let me know if it fixed anything, it would be greatly appreciated.
1/ Right-click the clock in the taskbar → Adjust date/time
2/ Enable "Set time automatically"
3/ Scroll down and click "Sync now"
Tried a few time no more error message so far
