agree on all points. Choosing a role is something that I think this game could really benefit from hugely. Maybe its not so important in the higher elo where everyone is pretty balanced out but in the lower ranks its a mess.
On the beta i saw there's none want be a goalkeeper, the end of match was a easy win because on the opponent team none want become goalkeeper, on our team i was the fixed goalkeeper and they had hard time to shoot on my door
The fixed role will be essential on the ranked match
My stance on this has changed slightly, I think strict role picking shouldn't be a thing because it may encourage people to not actually improve as a player (to get into higher elo where this won't be as big of an issue although still of course ppl will have preferances)
** " ** I was just thinking about this (roles) and did a quick search to see what people thought and I can see why people don't want a strict "pick a role" pre-game thing going on. Totally understand that. I think a lot of these chaotic scenarios are happening in lower ranks where ppl really haven't gotten balanced as a player yet and tend to focus on one thing first. Striking/mid vs lastman/goalie (srry if my terminology is wrong) seems to be how the lower ranks end out playing. There is a definite pattern there and seems to be much more favourable to those lobbies. If you try to rotate "correctly" you will end up just causing more chaos.
Ideally I'd love some sort of meaningful and actually difficult drills for some desirable accolades so to say that you can put on your banner or wherever just visible to ur randoms. No real impact but the information is there to help the random m8s create some understanding of each other.

**tl;dr
I like the idea of "titles" or special banners that can display what a player has achieved/is good at rather than strict "You are defender, u cant cross midfield line" "you are goalie, sit in box". **
