Since this game is gonna have a kernel level anti-cheat, I would assume that this game won't have Linux support. While i can see the potential risks, I don't believe that collective punishment is the way to go. I would even go as far to say that there will be money to be made if the game will be allowed on Linux. I have a solution to these potential problems too. What if instead of just disregarding Linux players, what if we put all of them in a dedicated server only for Linux players? I believe that this is a good solution to the problem and that way Linux players can enjoy the game too.
How would cross-play work? Well that's very simple. Instead of putting the Linux player in the Windows only servers, we simply put the windows users in the Linux server. So lets say that you, A Linux player, wants to play Rematch with your friend, a Windows player. You just make the Windows player play on Linux servers so In-case people use Linux to cheat, it wont affect the majority.
If the devs can see this and maybe clear up and hopefully say "Even though we use EAC, we don't plan on removing the fun for Linux players" or maybe take my solution into consideration. It would make me and other Linux users super happy. I made a steam post about this too and all the people who reacted on that post agrees with me.
