#Desert Map - Rework it or Delete it

The desert map should be available only at night. The current daytime version has colors that are way too bright and overwhelming, which makes it uncomfortable to play on for long sessions. A nighttime version would fix this without needing to remove the map entirely.

I've talked with a few other players, and we all came to the same conclusion: the desert map doesn't need to be removed, but it absolutely needs to be set at night. Right now, the daytime lighting is so intense and oversaturated that it literally fries your eyes — it's hard to enjoy playing on it, especially during longer sessions.

At first, I was fully in favor of removing the map entirely, but after those conversations, I changed my mind. The real issue isn't the map itself, but the time of day and lighting. Setting it at night would completely change the vibe and make it way more pleasant to play on.

Adds elements to the game

No reason for the map to be removed cause it’s to bright

It might add elements, sure — but if a map compromises visibility and gameplay because it’s too bright, then a rework becomes essential. No one’s saying it needs to be removed forever, but when an issue is clearly affecting a large portion of players, ignoring it isn’t an option.

Idk where this keeps coming from but idk how you guys think the map is too bright. You could just turn down your brightness

I understand it might not be a problem for everyone, but I think it’s important to clarify something: the issue with the desert map isn’t just "brightness" in general — it’s the combination of the lighting, the overly saturated colors, and the way the whole map is built around that visual style. Yes, I get that the game's art direction leans toward vibrant visuals, and that’s fine — but in this specific case, it genuinely overwhelms the eyes. It’s not just a matter of preference; there’s something off in the way it hits visually.

Before even posting my feedback, I did try lowering the game’s gamma settings — but it didn’t help. That map still felt harsh on the eyes, while all the others became way too dark and less enjoyable to play. That’s a clear sign that the issue isn’t on the user’s side. I shouldn’t have to adjust my brightness every time that one map shows up when all the other maps are perfectly fine under the default settings.

It’s not about hating the desert theme — the theme itself is cool. The problem is how the visuals were implemented around it. There’s a real imbalance there that needs a second look.

Yeah night maps would be a cool feature but I think it does just come to preference cause clearly you and I have two different opinions on the map. I’m focused more on the gameplay while on the map and you’re more focused on the colors of the map. For me personally I don’t see anything wrong with the map and I still think night maps would be amazing. I suggested a Favela map where it looks like you’re playing below it for all residents to watch and fireworks shoot out of the goal when you score. But who knows maybe they will change the colors of the map if you’re not the only one talking about this
