Yup under the map

[3569.64,13156.3,0.256113]

#

So I would say it's about the same as before?!

Which terrain are the coordinates? Altis

#

I thought about drawing a line along the rifle axis, to about hip. And if there is an object colliding along the line, then block deployment.
That seems to be the simplest fix

#

In the past there was a decision that "Bad deployment is better than no deployment", but I disagree 😄

New and old deployment at that spot are the same, in this spot.
I can't reproduce your fully underground one

#

This is the most I can get.

But, the old deployment before this change, didn't allow you to go underground at this spot.
It kept you still above

#

But infront of the door, your torso would still go under, in both old and new

I'll be doing this.
If player deploys, we check lines from gun a bit to front and a bit to back to make sure it doesn't collide.

The back handles player sinking into ground, the front handles you looking into a wall, or into the ground
So we don't deploy like this: either

So this
Works, the thichk red line is the actual gunline across the surface.
And the red arrows at front/back are where the ground is, at those points.
We don't sink under, so its okey.

#

But this, doesn't work.

The back end of the intended gun line, is below the surface. So we refuse.

#

And the floating also doesn't work.

For one the front sinks into the ground (You would be firing into the ground, that doesn't make sense)
But also the back one is floating too high (I'll allow some floating, but not so much)

There could be problems with tight situations, when you are laying under a surface.
But even when its so tight that it shouldn't work (Your head and backpack are clipping into and through the roof), it's still enough space to allow for it

it's similar like hiding inside the dirt of the damage/destroyed structures ... (really annoying)

Well it should be fixed now

#

Also the dirt Dwarden mentioned

It's much better now, but yea it will be always #Arma xD

The line is probably like a cm above the ground

#

I'll just make it a bit longer to the back, it goes to bottom of ribcage, if I put it in the butt it should be fine
