We had great plans, but art took way longer than we would have hoped, and an issue with blender exporting put a halt on us fixing some of the glaring issues you see in the submission. We have fixed a ton already, but will wait till we feel it's ready to release on the workshop.

Oh man i feel like ive been hearing about this since the early days of reforger, Glad im still around to see it come out
It took that long to find an artist willing and capable of creating it. This model took two artists to complete over the course of about a year. Rand Williams initially created the HP but was unable to finish due to other obligations, and we finally contracted with one of my old co-workers from the studio I work at. Tyler took Rands work, redid much of it, and the final product is what you see. Admittedly still too high poly, but we got the final version of the model around midnight the morning before the competition ended, so corners had to be cut.
I'll rework things once we have more time. The version we were working with till then was about 700k verts all together, with the cockpit separate from the body and cargo bay, much of the object slotted in to the cockpit had pretty aggressive lods. Will always be an expensive Hero aircraft, but should still run just fine in small numbers.
C-130 my beloved
Suggest using decals for markings and rivets. You can get much higher detail for much lower texture resolution. e.g. think of how in MSFS all cockpit and exterior markings are perfectly crisp even when the camera is right up close.
We are aware but did not have time to get that done properly. As you can see the art deliverables were dragging this project back...
We know. Artist was running out of time. No time to setup properly for that. So we got it the way it is now and will fix it sometime soon.
Well either way Iโm happy to see it come to fruition!

Love the work, redline has always been pushing the limits and you all have done it again. Donโt play reforger much anymore but check back every now and again from updates on projects like this.

Just sharing some of the renderings the artist sent us when the cargo bay was finished. Will look a bit more like this in game once we get some things fixed and add the light portal.
Once the full mod comes out do you think that parachute guy will introduce static line?

Yes, there will be static line as well as user operated, steerable and non-steerable.
How do you load vehicles?
Broken rn but there's an action in the back of the aircraft for the loadmaster to use.
Yeah being able to load a few thousand supplies with this thing would be neat, paradropping the supplies out the back would be unreal ๐ฅ
Same with para dropping humvees, would be a nice touch if its even possible

So no guns or anything
