could this work per faction say soviet faction has radomized stuff from there arsenal

You could even go further and have Special forces only have certain weapons and equipments while regular soldiers have there own set of equipment.

It doesn't read from arsenal currently, you need to set up a prefab for each slot e.g. Random_Weapon.et that has all the weapons you want available added as varaints to the editable entity component, you then change your desired character prefab to use my loadout manager instead of the base one and add your random item prefabs to it, when a character spawns with that prefab they will have each randomized item slot replaced

I'm planning an update in the near future that will add an option to read from arsenals instead (so you could set up Random_Weapon.et to include all weapon entries in US + USSR arsenals) so it automatically picks up addiitonal modded content and you don't need to hand-configure everything but it's not a priority atm

So to answer your original question yes you could set it up so that each faction has a loadout using this mod which gets random gear for their faction, but currently config will be a bit cumbersome as you'll need to add every possible item to each slot manually

This brings back memories to playing halo 2 split screen and doing random weapons everytime you spawn. was a ton of fun. gotta play the hand you're dealt or better luck next time.

Major change in latest update, RLM now automatically generates gear and loot variants based on entity catalogs. So no need to manually set up variants any more, characters using this mod will be able to spawn with any vanilla or modded gear in faction arsenals automatically. A future update will add the option to manually override this automatic behaviour for things like bosses with rarer loot

Yes please, the other thread I linked with working thumbnail is direct replacement for this one
