oh totally, also there is a lot of good CDF/CHDKZ mods you can use for references instead of RHS . Very similar feel to the modern CDF faction mod

im all for a really large city anyway, one thing that bothers me about “large” cities in AR is that they have the apartment blocks, but they are for one arranged in a nonsensical manner (not the case with dobkovicy luckily) and are way too small because of the engine limitations. i would be happy if we could have more buildings with no interior but a nice exterior and maybe a top floor thet can be used for sniping rather than have forcibly small cities. just one map, no forests just blocks upon blocks upon blocks and maybe parks.
Having any non-enterable buildings in Enfusion Arma games is a major step back in quality so I guess no one is gonna go for that as it’s against the most fundamental values of new Arma games when it comes to graphical fidelity and gameplay in towns/cities

Judging by BIs approach it could be said that partially enterable buildings, enterable buildings without decorations and non-enterable buildings have no place in modern Arma games

doesnt stop anyone from doing it nonetheless. we already have apartment buildings with some apts locked (not enterable) and not having a modeled interior. what i am saying is that performance wise it would be a small sacrifice for a large gain, making urban warfare larger scaled and scarier. imo, dobkovicy is the prime example for a large modern urban area in reforger, though not as large as it could be.
Arma 3 also set a new standard for map making and it didn’t stop people from making lower standard maps akin to Arma 2 or 1, but setting a new standard means that players will have higher expectations thus leading to the new standard being utilized more often by the modders, that’s mainly my point. I would rather encourage people to work up to the new standard or wait for Arma 4 when they are more ambitious with their modding rather than them lowering the overall quality to accommodate for the AR limitations
I do catch your drift, but the mods that are being made for AR are for AR at this moment. If we want to use maps in the game, we have to use maps that run well on the platforms that AR is available on. I do understand that AR is the stepping stone for A4, and much more an introduction to the new tools and assets that modders will get to use for content creation in A4, but still, accommodating for the lower spec computers and consoles should be taken into account. This is, of course, only wishful thinking from my side, but we can already see the Series S struggle in larger and more detailed maps, such as ExclusionZone and Zimnitrita. My idea was to reduce detail in certain buildings, which could be done very realistically still, by adding a hint to the doors saying that they are locked, which i would imagine is a very real phenomenon in battlefields.

I aim to make the map feel as alive and detailed as possible, with many points of interest spread across the entire world. I believe there are no maps quite like mine. In my opinion, the creators of the Zimnitrita map do not fully understand how courtyards, cities, and villages in former Soviet countries actually look.
Even though I live in Europe, I know this atmosphere very well because I live in the Baltics, where all of this still exists in everyday life. That is why everything on the map was created almost entirely from scratch, based on my personal experience and imagination.
My goal was to create a map with a city and the spirit of the post-Soviet environment without touching politics or real wars. I was also greatly inspired by the story concept of ArmA 2, so I wanted to create something connected to a fictional conflict. That is how the Kirovograd map was born!
Therefore, I believe that nowadays mod size is no longer an issue, especially when it is possible to buy a 1-terabyte M.2 SSD.

@past jackal In general, any plans to expand the upper part of the map? Compared to the southern part, it's practically empty. Other than that, it looks fantastic.
In the upper-right section of the map, a coal mine will be constructed, along with several villages, a military base, and a correctional facility for prisoners.
