#fuel consumption

That’s what happens when you put shit fuel in an unmaintained military vehicle that is designed and manufactured in mass by the lowest bidder for an army that trains it own mechanics at 18 for less than a year
Plus all the saltwater from being on an island has added to the corrosion and rust in the vehicle wearing it faster and tanking it’s gas mileage
Next time use a civilian car, and only give it premium 👍
still we shouldn't drive for a few minutes and be almost outta gas
it should be at the max 2.00x
also im aware military vehicles are cheap pieces of shit
I never had problems woth fuel. I would even like if fuel consumption rate is higher
Yes. If rate is very low having fuel is useless. I like the fact that you need to get back in the line to refuel
ok well that should just apply to just humvees then, not every single vehicle ingame
Well idk i play superior faction called USSR 😎
2010 is no longer USSR buddy 😂
🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Humvee is a fuel guzzler
I know it's terrible, but what is its MPG?
Less than 12 miles per gallon, 8 in the highway and 4 in the city
Uaz 469 is 10.6l per 100km
So 22 mpg
RAAAAAAAAG EUROPE WTF IS A GALLON AND A MILE 🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺
1.6km per 16 liters in the city
Damn the boy is thirsty
Is the guy who started this talking about the stable branch or experimental? Stable it is really hard to run out of fuel but experimental you need fuel depots at every point lol
humvee guzzles fuel on both
oh yeah? I suppose I drive the jeep and truck too much to notice
fuel consumption rate back in 1.0 was 4x which was perfect, just stick with 1/4 tank for spawned vehicles with or without a fuel station in the base
Agreed. Except for helos fuel consumption is widely exaggerated in game. Even a humvee would be able to drive longer the length of everon without being low on gas
But its for balance and its a good system imo
I'd hate to see how short legged tanks are gonna be in arma 4 with the current system in place
I think fuel is based on time compression
fr, the Abrams is already a gas guzzler. I wonder how long it'll take to use up all it's fuel
and iirc the m60 was too, to a lesser extent atleas5
Yeah definitely. There's a problem in DayZ where you basically never have to refuel, the cars literally last for days. If it were like that, you wouldn't even need a fuel depo, or fuel trucks.
1 mad dash from Tyrone to Monti outskirts and it'll run dry before it hits the nearest gas station
It also depends on how you drive. You can conserve fuel by not always going full throttle, coasting corners, short shifting, etc.
that's exactly how I drive. it drains fuel too quickly.
Easy fix, remember to refuel and dont go driving with a quarter tank
I think the only issue is that everon is actually more of a backwater hellhole than the actual Mojave and there's only three or so proper gas stations and some big tanks of gas on a couple harbors
Was playing on experimental, couldn't go get gas because GM was setting stuff up in St Pierre so had to go all the way to Morton for gas
Tbf we did just decide to go do that instead of asking for fuel because we were bored
But still there are parts of everon where you have to go a couple kilometers to get fuel, which is an issue when you are running low
It's set that high simply for gameplay reasons. They want it to be something that you have to consider. In GM sessions it's an option that you can tweak, but in official servers it's set to 8x because the devs want it to be a gameplay loop that you interact with and have to be aware of. In a typical game given how small the maps are if the fuel consumption was realistic you would never have to refuel.
