#considering Disney and by extention

It's my mod, not public ofc. I reskin my A4 uniform on Reforger male.
@wraith quest Wait, but isn't there Star Wars on the A4, what's the difference?
@lunar jewel
By the way, I’m not even sure that I will ever publish it, since I’m still just studying the capabilities of the engine, to a greater extent
well idk the legar side of it. but if bi devides they don't want the headache with hosting another ip in their workshop. they can shut it down whenever. but considering it's a Disney franchise its murkier water. if I'm not mistaken the other mod had some issues as well. but if you maintain it private idk what the deal would be. but best of luck tho. if EA won't make a good Battle front I hope y'all are able to.
As if there was nothing to catch on, I think I understand what you mean. But these are my models, without the use of others, including EA, except as a photo reference. And of course, I keep all the sources for such a case. Besides this, as far as I know, the main question arises when someone thinks that they are making money from this or when EA creates a similar project (remember the fan project for the old republic and the announcement of the remake after it was closed due to a complaint)
The thang is with like the halo mod for example you have to make your own models and such can’t buy or rip models (can’t rip anyway but you get the point) which all this is stated in Microsoft’s website and such with Disney that’s uncharted waters and I’m sure they wouldnt be like a gaming company or even friendly about a mod even tho I know arma 3 has it
The halo models were also part of a 25 year anniversary of halo ce
So the mod is basically from all that
Yea that also
Star wars aint cool like dat. Far as im aware you cant get banned for placing whatever you want in tools (correct if im wrong)
Publishing is a whole other story
I would be happy to help with custom models down the line
Thank you, but I am more than independent in this matter)
For now, I’m adding everything at a fast pace, studying the capabilities of the engine and how to do it. Then I’ll start making improvements and polishing. Reworking the armor, since it was slightly padded after my first transfer (this is an adaptation to the body)
I would definitely confirm the legality if you wish to proceed
I don't think I understood you correctly.
In general, if they ask me, I will provide all the data to dispel doubts, but of course I won’t do it just like that
Understandable
Also, it doesn't matter if u make ur own models. At the end of the day its a big no. Bohemia have said no, unless Disney literally say "yes you can make a mod" then bohemia wont let it happen. No point tryna find loopholes
This means it will simply be removed from publication and will be exclusively in my hands)
I guess yes? I dont know BI terms on that
If u did it for personal use and no one else and didnt publish it i guess its ok? U need to ask an admin
The wonderfull part about this discord being up so long, there is currently nearly a decade worth of discussion regarding Star Wars IP and BI games. #ip_rights_violations and #other_ip_topics contains all the relevant information needed. TLDR, you can't make anything using Star Wars IP with BI games and share it. The share part is important. No one cares what you make at home for yourself to learn/play with. What you can't do is share it with anyone. BI has been very clear about it on here. Even using Star War IP as reference material is not allowed. You CAN create a mod that looks similar, in a similar univers, that ISN'T Star Wars. That doesn't reference Star Wars or Star Wars name/worlds/storyline. It isn't that hard to be a bit creatigve and make a Sci-Fi universe on your own that has the same feel but isn't SW.
