TrackIR was never fully compatible with AR, but you should still report the bug to feedback tracker. I'm sure someone will take a look and fix it. We have TrackIR at BI, so they could use it to debug 😄

My experience from before the current experimental build has been that the TrackIR control inputs are "fighting" with the XboX controller inputs, specifically for freelook/look around while on foot and in a vehicle. currently on Experimental TrackIR inputs are "constant" rather than relative, so if you turn your head to the right it continues to input further right, rather than stop at the relevant % head turned as you do IRL.

Just had my first chance to fly these new helicopters. Fucking rad. Cannot wait for proper trackIR and (fingers crossed) pedal support
Actually I should say opentrack but yes. It was working for me on main a while ago but now in experimental it’s going haywire. Seen a few tickets in the feedback tracker relating to it and understand it’s not officially supported
@outer panther Maybe you can create a ticket on the feedback tracker(https://feedback.bistudio.com/project/view/66/) and tell devs what exactly doesn’t work in tracking head position?

Last weekend I configured X360ce to react to head movement through a virtual joystick. I'm using Opentrack and AItrack. I could not get the position of my head properly AR freelook. Tricking right stick to follow my head, I can move the freelook. The problem is: I look to right, freelook moves to right. I look in the middle, freelook is still looking to the right. I need to look left for a moment to move freelook back to center.

For flying I use a Logitech stick and it works nicely through X360ce.

I've understood that I can not reconfigure controller setup in AR .. because that would make life easier.

#

I don't have pedals, but if this is about Q/E buttons, those you should be able to configure in X360ce. I can twist the stick and that works as the pedal.

On the upside, even working poorly with this work-around, flying is AMAZING I love it.

Unfortunately 1.0.47 appears to remove all trackIR input... But seems to be functional still in exp workbench? Not sure if experimental workbench is up to date with 1.0.47 or how that works

Will trackir integration be coming to Reforger?

Very likely... there are values for TrackIR inputs in the game code in the workbench, and the trackIR control package from Natural Point software is in the game code too. But they currently do not connect to the character movement. I'd expect there's just a bunch more work to get it functional and they don't have the developer time to get it working properly yet.
