there is a 10 min timer on the request. its supposed to help you out in case you get stranded somewhere so you dont have to force respawn (which is penalized if used too often now)

Transport request lets you choose your faction primary objective or your group leader objective if they have some selected. if not, their location is used. in any case you appear about 250 meters away from the target, in a position relative to your starting point.

I've been using teleport a lot lately. pretty good to get to the action quick, but it seems a lot of players have no idea it exist. it's underutilized.

TraceSnowOwl explained to me and I managed to use it, but it's super unintuitive. Click the request travel option, chose YOUR position on the map and click the destination point on the ring.

In my opinion, this system is needed for further scaling of the game, when many players will play on the server and helicopters will not help with transporting various guys to their squads.

Now we look at all this from a position where there are few players playing and getting them to the battlefield is not a problem

As I mentioned many times by now xD I am very much so against it. IMO it removes something from the experience. Removes a lot of the danger for people who are teleporting. Also might make some tactics less effective, such as roadblocks/ambushes, laying mines etc. They also added TRANSPORT helis... Lets use them ay? I think that its a bad system which is a very lame way of "fixing" the team-play. I would argue that helis by itself add a lot more to a teamplay. One of my fav things in A3 was transporting troops to the front in KOTH and I had a blast and Teleports kinda feel like theyre going to take this aspect away from us, especially when people start abusing it. One dev mentioned that the reason is to prevent lone wolfs of wasting supplies or something like that but again I think that TPs are a bad way to combat that. My fav idea for battling that so far would be: Requesting vehicle spawn to your squad leader or make it that you can only buy vehicles every lets say 30min. Again TPs are bad IMO and making their cooldown 10min is also bad. IF, a HUGE IF we really need to keep them they need to be available every 1h or so I would say. 10min in a Conflict match is nothing... I think that BI has some amazing and talented devs who I think are capable of coming up with a much better system that is more realsim or teamplay oriented.

This is the first version and there is not enough data yet to judge how it will work with full servers with at least half of the players who understand what to do.

Also, if you want, you can always make a mod without this feature.

So far, many people don’t even understand how to activate it.

agree with MMH that teleporting is bad idea and I don't like to see it in ArmA. but what will be when we will get AI able to use helis? maybe transporting request would be done not like teleportation but flying with AI? that would be nice imo.

I still believe tp should exist only to regroup.
As in "Teleport to SL" with a 20 min cooldown. While SL cant tp at all.

Do not forget that Conflict strives for the player to control a squad of AIs.

It will be easier for him and his squad to teleport to a priority target than to learn to fly a helicopter or waste time traveling by car

I heard a rumour about the whole Enlightened system to summon AI and Im also not a fan of that. I didn't saw it confirmed and from the roadmap I understand it more like a GM thing. If this gets added they should really split this Conflict mode into 2 different things. Conflict as it is now with no AI on US or USSR side and no Teleporting. And if people wanna play more PVE oriented mode they can play that but under a different name and on different servers. And for the easier part, its also easier to play BF, its also easier to play COD, its even easier to set up a GM missions. I feel like the ones who stuck with Reforger through all of its problems and love the Conflict mode mostly as it is, PVP oriented, with no Teleporting etc. We will pull the short stick, if thats the direction this mode is heading to. I feel like DEVs "want" to make everyone happy, not adding any restrictions to the players etc. And I think that this is a huge misteke, they can make a huge mess. Even now,
1.you can spawn at main and drive or fly to the front.
2.you can spawn at other bases if they are supplied
3.you can spawn at radios
4.you can teleport.
Its a mess already, and everyone will mostly be using 4. when possible

Also ❌TELEPORTING: We got rid of radio backpack camping in the bushes next to the bases, preventing endless swarms of troops attacking. So now instead of needing to have a radio backpack, you can only be a squad lead and hide in the bush, repeating the same "radio like camping/hiding" problem.

Also ❌TELEPORTING: what prevents people making a bunch of empty squads and letting others hop between them to spawn on different squad leaders? You could theoretically also spawn on a squad leader, leave the squad and make a new one mby. Im not sure about this last part if you can leave and create a squad while you are still alive in game. But yes you get the idea.

So BI if you guys really want to keep this Teleporting mess. Remove it from the official and make it so that community servers can switch it on. Or make few DIFFERENT Conflict modes. Conflict (normal as it is, but no teleporting), Conflict Plus (with all the teleporting and AI summoning stuff) and mby Conflict Hard (normal, no teleporting and First Person) something like that. Yes it will split the playerbase but at least everyone will be happy. Making one Conflict mode and trying to make everyone happy is not that great IMO. Players will also slowly return as the game gets more features so I don't see a problem in making few different versions of the conflict.

And opening servers for each of them. As of now 1 server per mode would be more than enough
