#Refueling

Nice! I've been getting bugged to add the pumps to my vehicle repair/refueling mod! I did the jerrycans already but they are a gadget that you must hold in hand to do the action, so IDK if they will be compatible. Did you use the vanilla jerrycan prefab?
I like the handheld, diagetic nature of the Repairable vehicles one, but the gas stations working will be amazing.
I did. Do they have animations for the jerry can being a gadget, or did you do that yourself?
I havent looked TBH, but I used the same as compass I think (it doesn't do much). But I did get it to look decent being held in hand (using offsets). Same with Fire extinguisher, I really want an animation for that. Could also be used for a flame thrower hahah
Ah yeah. using existing gadget anim graphs is jank imo. And making new ones is really hard. It's something I've been working on for awhile with Zelik.
The entire point of this is to make something functional for refueling in R3D_CORE quickly. I think it's confirmed (in the roadmap?) that BI is adding refueling eventually. So this is only to provide something functional until then
I'm going to make it so server owners can disable the fueling system if desired. Also, I'll try and make the jerry can bits compatible with your mod. No idea if I'll be able to though.
Hey, I tried out your mod and I love the way it works. I had heard of the repair system before but didn't know it included refueling.
I did push my update to core tonight, but I tested with both our mods loaded beforehand to make sure mine didn't break yours. They should be compatible.
Also, I got a bunch of script error spam on frame in your mod even without mine loaded in workbench. Might just be something WB specific, but definitely worth looking into.
(also, refueling in core technically doesn't work right now, so there's that)
script error spam eh? Ill have to look into that this week for sure!
I also got RPCs going for adding XP when doing the actions in my dev version. Pretty sure im going to add negative XP points for damaging occupied friendly, or empty vehicles so players cant just shoot up a vehicle just so they can do repairs for cheap XP.
Oh sweet. Can't wait for that. My priority with redline core is to allow people to run it with other mods like yours without any compatibility issue. So let me know if there is anything I can change for you.
