Headtracking could be interesting though, in addition to NPCs fully turning towards you after a certain angle. Like in Skyrim for example. Probably quite a bit of work though I assume. meowsweats

Could add it to the initial "Greet" action, whenever you would greet an npc they would look at you until they have no more dialogue options maybe, nice idea

That's actually a good way to contain it. If they'd always do it even outside of dialogue you'd have them headtrack in awkward situations. ๐Ÿ˜…

managed to make each character to have their own progression even tho they get dialogue from same configuration. Atm its without any extra components on the character, its just a new character archetype being created in the dialogue component.

Though later if the faces are ever rigged, list of choices with 1. 2. 3. 4. in the lower part of the screen would be better.

yeah, i want to move both radial menu and chat. want to see if it would be possible to relocate chat only when you are doing dialogue.

Seems more convinient for PC atleast. And for consoles the radial menu maybe. Not sure what console players think though

i was thinking of something simmilar, i wanted to see how possible it will be to "reskin" the radial menu into something like this

Is there a way to intimidate or threaten the AI so they dynamically try to search for you or try to insult you back?

it should be possible now to make "bottomless" dialogue, you can keep stacking branches on top of eachother for deeper branches.

So there's been some work done to the dialogue system, not much on its core functionality but more about its usability. I managed to set up a scenario using it and just published it with 9.8, there is controller support for the dialogue UI so if anyone wants to try it feel free to check it.

Arland version verry simmilar to combat ops, but with added stuff
Everon version is more lengthy and has more linear structure
Focus of the adodn is on SP but its playable in small co-op.

Been working on some UI improvements over the weekend. Not using chat anymore.

The huge dialogue box is gone, will be using floating ui elements from now. Wanted to incorporate some kind of random chater around so only way to keep in consistant. The info about the character will be accessible though an action in the dialogue to be able to check reputation/faction etc...
