Terrain and trees are overwritten
Are the 2D (distant LOD) trees also overwritten, or do they stay green?
you can get some fun stuff like this by just changing SSS settings also
The biggest problem is that itโs all overwritten not duplicated :/

From what I've seen, it would be kinda hard to make the tree MLODs white without doing the same to the trunks. You can kinda see it in the image background, they are still green.
At least without exporting and changing the texture, which afaik isn't allowed?

Those are problems with winter overrides, an original winter map will probably be created at some point, that shouldn't be much harder.
take screenshot of normal map, convert it to height and add procedural snow in substance designer 
man it'd be a lot of work but might work
I thought I had one substance graph somewhere that did this but I can't find it because all my substance files are called Substance_graph.sbs
