It’s more of a suppression weapon or to kill light armoured vehicles i guess

But overall when the enemy is using either a 20-30mm chaingun the dinky minigun is so ineffective in comparison

No it's not. It's also not an Mi-35, it's an Mi-24v. It was created by an artist known as Tapsiful. He's done other work in the Arma community previously.

To be frank, it's one thing to make art, its another to get it working in game. Tapsiful does what he does well, and he does do it well, and gets paid a decent amount for it. The model appears to be nearly 10 years old, I can only imagine how many times he's sold it.

Any military vehicle with quality interior is really hard to find. We were not even going to do the Hind due to cost till someone offered to pay for it.

Hum3D could probably make you one, but you are looking at over a grand, and a solid month or so to get it.

Well, it's not 2009 anymore. Joe Blow can't make a quality vehicle model in his spare time. Or he can, but it's going to look like dogshit. Arma 3 was the same. Arma 4 will be even worse. It's getting to the point with quality that modding in vehicles will need to be done by people with lots of money, or Game industry standard art skills and Tech Art skills, and developer level programming skills.

FYI, Hum3D isn't what you would call "hobbyist centered". They sell 3d models for games. Their licensing really pushes large purchases to attain discounts. They sell to studios using dozens of vehicles in their games. Those people can afford to pay for quality assets like that.

This hind model was well over $200, but it's also not very new. It's been around the block obviously. Pool of assets that match Reforger quality is shrinking and getting more expensive at the same time.

Not necessarily. If you wanted to focus on modeling, and get good at it, there are many many resources these days to assist you.

Blender isn't industry standard, but since 2.8 it's been getting a lot closer. Lots of tutorials and online courses for Maya, which is industry standard. Maya has a decently priced subscription model.

My biggest reason for saying no to a us attack heli is that I don't have any time between modding and uni to do something else of own time
I have the strykers to finish up as well so all of my free time that isn't just doing mods for other people goes into that at the moment

Would be sick if we could be inside while it flys. Same with the chinook. Or in the hind have placements like seats in the empty space. For example if you had a Blackhawk with no seats like in the movie black hawk down. Instead of the characters being seated in seats maybe have them placed within the veh. Just an idea. Not sure how hard doing it would actually be.
