I've noticed that you can sort mods by subscriptions, and this is the stat that seems to push the mods to main page.
But it seems broken for newer mods.
Is that param discontinued or what? For example all of our ACE mods do not have that stat at all on the page.

Are you trying for PVE or PVP? I’ve heard rumours that there’s a few mods that block the radio on PVE not 100% sure though

Welp thats now the 15th attempt now today to upload a measly 2gb that takes hours. Another fail. Same as above. Is BI running their workshop on a 286 server from 1990 and dialup?
Im also sitting with a mess of dud versions in the changelog. Its just become a bad joke now.
We have no ability to edit our workshop inputs and it gets messy fast. This is my hunch as well why their workshop is the way it is.
they do seem to run some parts of their infra in their office in Mnisek

Wonderful, my project ended up with a billion versions that werent uyploaded on the workshop. So I deleted the project to retry uploading for the 100000000th time and now get this...

Like removing the pak file manually, messing with it mid upload or right before, etc?
a friend had it, regen mod id fixed it
Only other time i even saw someone have this type of issue was because of doing something very weird by messing with the temporal files
This is what the previous one with similar incident did
I was testing if you could reupload a mod without having the source files, by bundling some empty project and then replacing the content of ArmaReforgerWorkbench/publish/ with another pak etc. before uploading.
To do that, I took an obsolete old mod I still had in the publish folder, which was no longer on the Workshop. That mod depended on Seitenbuch, I which I did not consider relevant at the time.
I created an empty project (https://reforger.armaplatform.com/workshop/5EEEE9332833A41A-publishingtest), bundled it, replaced the bundle with the bundle of the obsolete mod, then uploaded it. Since this was just a test, I did not edit the GUID of "publishing test" to match the one of the obsolete mod.
The test was successful, everything worked just as expected, however I believe when I opened "publishing test" afterwards and clicked Remove from Workshop, it remained on the Workshop and apparently Seitenbuch (the dependency of the obsolete pak I uploaded) was deleted instead.
I still am not sure why exactly it did that, but one more noteworthy thing is that when opening the obsolete mod in the Workbench, it just opens the Seitenbuch dependency, no sight of the actual mod you selected. That's probably just because the mods second dependency is missing, but it could be related to the deletion issue as well, I'm not sure.

Nah man I did nothing but work on the map and try republish it with further iterations and work done to it. I never deleted or went into any of the above.
My last iteration that did upload took me like 6x and since another its just not doing so.
Now as above i decided to clean the mod off workshop from the many dud versions as it sat at 0.1.5 when the actual workshop file was still 0.0.8 now I can't upload it at all as above. Again. Iv not deleted anything such as pak files. Nothing in my mod has changed except for just adding stuff to layers and improving it. Its a map
I have the same problems(bit different error), I'm about to give up. I've tried more than 50 times already and each time it takes 30-60 minutes. Old backup version gives same error even it worked before.
I got no errors strangely. Except for uploading 100%, publishing. Publishing failed. It took 2 hours to get 2gb to 100% each time. Earlier versions took 3 or 4 tries and eventually it said publishing complete. Now adding a tree or two as I have always done, the workshop has just shat its pants. Again... 2 hours to upload 2 gb to fail and then do it 20x over and over wasting data... its a fat lol
Now deleting the mod its gone from shitting the bed to just going nope. You shall not even try upload anything.
I give up actually. ARMA 1 to 3 was alright with modding then they moved to steam, which creates a brick wall and now BI has made a fuster cluck doing their own workshop. Its sucks. I cant even share my issue with relevant friends and modders to privately test because it has to go through their potato first.
If I had the avenue of even just sharing it offline with friends we could sort it out instead of crying here

hum did not do it myself but i guess you can try to just remove the ID in the workbench->options->GUID of your mod

@obtuse tiger i did some tests with south african servers and the route to the workshop took 20 hops each, and each hop was on average 700ms

Well, have a friend in Netherlands as a contributor. He ran a packet test and has 0 packet loss and he cant even upload our project to workshop. His times out at 76%
Netherlands has also quite terrible upload speed to Workshop. On my 1gbit connection I get max 25mbps.
There were two issues with your case, the fact that you deleted the addon and tried to reupload it to the same listing and the connection timeouts. But yeah no need to keep spamming it. At worse, a VPN might actually help with stability, about speed not sure as I can't really know what routes it will take and the quality of them. But it is an option to do so if you have a service.
It's what I do when I have messed up service on other things
Would maybe trying as a completely new project upload help? No luck with VPN's either

An extreme solution is renting server in CZ which has dx12 capability, run Workbench from that server via RDP and then upload your file

yeah its even slow from my mate in netherlands with way faster connection as I said. I have no problem uploading 50mb to workshop but yeah 2gbs its having a wobbly. I generally upload 2gb to other places in a few minutes... to workshop its like 4 hours.
and then fails every time hitting 100%. Saying its uploaded successfully, publishing... cant publish sorry. I reach 100% every time but my friend in Netherlands barely gets to 76% and it gives him a time out. Sorry but its kind of whack really.
I'll try Marios advise shortly and go via a VPN and see what happens.
I don't think VPN would do the trick - there were some posts here before where someone tried various options and it didn't changed his situation too much

No its a custom map so dont think thats possible
Probably have to take all the tree assets which is making most of the mod size large into a seperate addon which means the quarter of the map will have to be redone from scratch (again a month of work), that feels pretty crap and pointless
Having to basically destroy over a month of work to start over having those assets as a separate pack just doesent sit well with me

If I honestly could just pack my map and send it to mates and we could test rapidly instead of fighting workshop upload fails, a lot more testing and refining could happen quickly to produce a better map/mod

ZA gets to 100% and cant publish, Netherlands gets to 76% and times out. VPN via CZ/Prague does above at 50% then fails

Hey, I'm trying to add a vehicle mod to reforger, I've got it in the workshop and all but I was wondering if there was something I had to do in enfusion before it shows in in the Game Master asset bar so I can place it in game. (it's not showing up)

there are paid alternatives, but you can share the files for a world on a simple github repository.
You have to coordinate though not to work on the same tile for terrain editing and in different layers for placing objects to avoid merge conflicts.
as for tile editing, there is feature in workbench where you can "claim" tiles
you need to be logged to BI account - otherwise PC name will be used. This data is stored in files and if you share that via github, you can have nice overwiew who is working on what

For starters, it's not available for consoles

Hopefully some fix will be deployed to it next week. Meanwhile, you can also change guid of your project in txt editor. You can search discord for tips how to do it

- it shows up in playable factions but not able to see the faction in the entity browser to spawn them
- 1.0.23 still shows them as a faction

if someone from BIS may help, the MOD GUID is "5EB139459EBF5C16" - Publishing with Public build, no problem. But "Error Code:401 - Unauthorized" on Experimental Build. Seperate Experimental account created and loggen in.

Is the Workshops "Popular" ranking still largely based on subscribers (especially with older mods), even though these aren't really in use anymore?
When I browse the Workshop, there are a lot of old mods in the top, with wildly varying download counts. The main thing that they have in common is a large number of subscribers, which new mods won't have at all, since the Workshop is no longer counting these.
Some of these old mods are even nonfunctional/irrelevant (like the broken UH-60 in spot 1), have not actually been popular in ages, and arguably shouldn't be dominating the search results.
Workshop being odd for anyone else? Our updates are failing with a 502 error, being shown on the workshop website update notes but not in game

This usually happens a weekend before the big update - everything slows to a halt and then Thursday comes around and the Update drops.
Why would something that happens to the workshop on a weekend have anything to do with an unreleased update?
Its way more likely that the servers are overloaded on a weekend because of the increased amount of players

Servers dont have API. You can use DiscordPlayerList mod for example.
How detailed is that API for running games or is it more based on the server provider?
Even so if it is based on the server provider how do you access the end point to get said data and is their a SDK or API doc that details the different API end points?
Do you know the limit on data that can be extracted? I know the Vietnam server has a kill/death counter I am curious to data like that.

There is no server api. Server providers might have an api, ask the server providers.
So then it seems a log scrapper is what I am describing, you can access the log via the back end and process that data which should include events in server

this seems to be issue that files you are trying to upload are not of valid/allowed filetype or possibly some file is empty
we will try to find logs about it on our side to find which file but it might take some time
and we will also try to improve Message in future so that instead of Invalid or no file provided in body it would provide some more useful information

How can I add dependencies to my mod when I upload it. I successfully uploaded my map, but no mod requirements come up when you try to download it and all modded assets on the map don't exist

Hey has anyone thought of making a DC capital map like in OG 09 MW2 for arma reforger or Arma 3?
When I run this on a server started by the Dedicated Server Tool, it returns both vanilla and mod scenarios:

But if I run the same code on an actual production server, not one started from the WBs DST, it only returns the vanilla scenarios. Can anyone tell me why that is?
In case that's helpful, it also works in SP and on clients, Workbench or not.

Is there no way to delete a mod and reuse its GUID or transfer it to a new account? We want to move all of our mods to a new user account because the contributor system continues to bug out and remove contributors when they upload.
Would really prefer to not have to reupload 30 or so mods with a new GUID and force people to redownload them if possible
There is no such option on user side. There could be possibility to do it by admin but it depends on situation.
In any case, I guess fixing contributor system could be more proper solution - do you have some repro or perhaps some ticket about it already?
I have some stuff I sent to Cholerakk, I can forward to someone else but it has private email addresses and stuff so we didnt want it in a public ticket that is facing a bunch of webcrawlers
essentially theres a random chance that whenever a contributor publishes an update to the workshop there is a chance that the contributor list gets completely wiped out, something breaking with the json payload or something that causes it to get overridden
contributors cant even see the list in workbench tools so they have no idea if the upload is gonna break it or not
can you perhaps send name of the mod (can be GUID)? I will forward it to our backend team and perhaps they will notice something in the logs

Like, most popular one week, one month, three months. Because trying to keep up to the most popular mods with the current workshop is a chore and no easy way to see what the most popular mods are for the last week for example.
Please submit this as feedback ticket so it has a higher chance of being done. Give some ideas what constitutes "popular" etc too. Total downloads in that time (updates count too). Maybe how many people downloaded it the first time that month. Or active on how many servers. We need a good idea what people are actually looking for

If you made no backup of your mods source files, yo do not. You can only try to salvage parts of it that are included in the workshop version, but it will lack source formats for textures, models etc.

I have tried since yesterday night at 9pm to restart the server; it just flat out refuses.
I've considered going onto the game as a client and just installing all the mods and then transferring them over to server; but such a headache.
Go to your server control panel and go to folders>documents>savegame
Its going to be something along those lines. In there you can find a console log, error log, and script log. See what the console log says.
posting only part of console.log is making it very hard to help

there have been cases where a server was not able to download mods from the workshop in #reforger_servers due to some problems with access to directories
it can happen when workshop is having trouble, the only reason I said it isn't a workshop issue is I am not seeing it happening on the few hundred servers I'm running at the moment
usually when workshop has trouble a large amount of them goes red lol
I added the mods from your log on a test server
if you have a persistent mod download problem on the server then it's likely not the workshop, you should never have to upload mod files manually to the server

But nothing has changed on our server other than removing mods; and this hasn’t been an issue until recently where it wouldn’t allow me to download any of my mods. (Sunday night to be exact) so I just bit the bullet and file transfer protocol’d everything over. Which took two hours or more as said above.

Yep, I am at a loss here; I am not sure what the hell is going on, refuses to download any Reforger mods and just continues to throw the errors.
I will throw my addons below and maybe we can sift through that and point out something problematic.
I dont think its a config problem but some system problem with access to files/folders, make sure the user the server runs at has full access to addonsDir, addonDownloadDir and whatever else there is
Administration priv should be given to my account by default; and should have no issues. I also have UAC altered to not have any issues with Admin.
maybe even try specifying those folders to something non-default
I can give that a shot, but this was never an issue prior to this weekend. 
I am actually an idiot; and ChatGPT came in clutch to confirm if there was a duplicate or Syntax error.
Funny enough, in my haste I must have added "Compositions by Heine" which has recently been renamed to Structures by Heine - The reason it wouldn't start is due to a duplicated mod entry.
I deserve every ounce of pain I went through solving this. 💀

dude is onto something, if the mods are already downloaded then duplicate entries work fine
if the mods need to be downloaded then it throws fragmentizer errors and doesnt start

I can't find the exposed attribute/UIWidget for the formation component DefaultFormation. The only things I see are generated scripts without the UIWidget creation in them. Is there any way to override the creation of non exposed attributes such as this one?
how to delete scenarios from workshop ?
You can remove your mod from the Workshop by opening your project, and clicking "Remove from Workshop" under Workbench.
If you want to remove a specific scenario, delete it from your project and publish an update.
its save file from the GM i didn't make any scenario i don't know honestly how it ended up on the workshop.
What makes you think the GM save file is on the Workshop?

Check the previous lines of the log. the addons might have errors in them. Or they are not downloaded and added to the workbench project list? We do not (yet) download dependencies in workbench

I was seeing a similar thing when WolfsBuildingPack was updated with a new dependency
there may be some kind of issue where if a mod is updated with a new dependency and the server has to update to that new version, it doesnt recheck the dependencies

id recommend you learn about intellectual property and copyright laws before doing anything else

what matter is that the one doing the uploading has all the sufficient rights with the content that is being uploaded (as in for the mode, textures etc)

terrain is not hard per se, it is however very time consuming…
it is even more time consuming if you wanna add your own assets (vegetation, structures etc)
Hello how do you people test in dedicated environment for scenarios on reforger's workbench? i'm trying to use its dedicated server plugin but i'm unable to connect as it's completely absent from my server list in arma reforger, I even tried executing it from CLI by using -server xxxxx -addonsDir and -addon related properties

what about dedicated server? it starts fine and loads my local (not published) scenario, it's just missing from the server list
the reason i'm doing this is because the scenario starts fine when run locally but as soon as it is started on a dedicated machine and client tries to connect it will just boot you out and throwing a Rpl error
if u use -server u need to use -client, also from my knowledge it does not load scenario it only load world files

direct connection just issues a "could not be found" which is weird, hosting a dedicated server on my machine and connecting through localhost should work
yeah something is clearly broken, that's the point of testing, if i can replicate the error on my machine everytime i would be able to catch it in my logs
A3 dedicated server worked fine for localhost connection, Reforger dedicated server works in misterious ways
maybe you can try peertool instead

ah, yes, you will get script mismatch since due to ifdef, script will be indeed different. So definitely, don't forget to turn it off once you want to play MP

sadly, my files on my pc has been lost
i achieved to get the files of the mod back and i opened it in enfusion workshop by creating a new project from the windows folder
but my question is : since my publishing window in the enfusion workshop is blank, will it publish a new mod on the reforger workshop ? or will it update the existing one ?
you cant convert them back from enfusion files. thats what prevents players from just stealing mods. so sadly if you have no copies of the files they may be lost.

i downloaded my mod that i made this summer and opened it with arma tools
BUT now my mod is locked, even if i linked my arma tools with my email adress
any help that can fix my problem and allow me to get access to my mod and be able to upload an update will be nice

How do you update your dependencies? Do you just copy paste the new files, in the game addon folder, into the workbench folder? or is there a way to do it from the workbench?
Usually people just add all downloaded paks as WB projects instead of copy pasting to another folder
The only issue is that this can lead to inconistent mod loading when using the Dedicated Server Tool (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T186084)

also it seems like currupt mod downloads are very frequent after the last patch
as people are joining the server, the server makes them download the 'newest' version
but it is actually the previous version
and its only for some users
right now i have 4 different clients, a few with the 'fake' new version and one with the actual new version of a truck mod
the truck mod functions normally for one person and functions like a earlier version for 3 more people
is there a way for me to get access to this skeleton in blender so i can put it on a different asset?

I'm having an issue with my Workshop mods. Some of them have become "invisible." They still work if I already have them downloaded (and my dedicated server can download them), but I can't see them in the Workshop, in-game, or the web.
Does anyone know why this might happen? Could it be a setting, Workshop policy, backend stuff, or some restriction?

We would kindly ask you not to cherrpick experimental content and upload it into mods onto the workshop. You do not have permission to do so, and while we generally tolerate re-textures, if you did not make the texture, expect the item to be banned.
