Can someone tell me the path to saved Game Master files? Twice now I have created a GM scenario, saved it, came back to load it and nothing was showing. I am using Worthy Island and Bacon's GM FX. Last week I had no problems saving and loading into our server. I don't think I did anything different. I would just like to find the path to see if they are there. Frustrating spending time creating to have it disappear despite the notification that it was saved.
The file is in the C://Users/YourUsername/documents/my games/armareforger/profile/.save I believe this is the correct path it could be different. I had this issue also though and had to host a dedicated server with the -loadSessionSave parameter
Thanks. Oddly, I restarted our dedicated server with the mods, joined in, got GM rights and loaded up just fine. Not sure why it wasn't showing in single player. Appreciate the path location.
Np you can use the -loadSessionSave line to automatically call the latest save or you can add the path in quotations immediately after to pick a specific save for future reference

At first when you said M16 I didn't know you were referring to the carbine, so I would say it was a reasonable misunderstanding
Eh I guess for people too used too the game it's whatever you call it in your head, but as someone who doesn't know guns well enough to know why the A2 is there, all I see is a gun called an M16 with Carbine as flavor text on it (as it's the only gun labeled M16), and a gun labeled M16A2.
Just like how I wouldn't say any more than "AK" in Counter Strike because there doesn't seem to be any ambiguity there, but I would specify between the M4A1-S and M4A4, however I'd only say M4A1 vs M4A4 because once I've said the "1" there's no more ambiguity.
then you would say carbine and not m16 since the m16 is just a older version of the m16a2. But i mean maybe a dev will say why its called that ingame

M16 carbines are very funky, often not sharing a true name with any others, so the generic term M16 would fit as long as you specify Carbine
m16a2 carbine is already an ambigious term. since under that label you can cram in either Colt model 723 or Colt 727 , although the in game carbine model resembles the latter.
i think there was even a brief time where Colt themselves called super early M4 carbine production model with fixed carry handle ( RO777) a M16A2 Carbine

I feel lied to. I was told that tracer rounds would set vehicles on fire very easily, however I just dumped quite a few magazines of full tracer RPK into a sedan and absolutely nothing... Tried it with the vehicle on and off, in the front and back, and into the fuel tank. Has something changed, is or am I missing something?
I was also fairly close to the vehicle, within 5m, so I'm not sure if there's somehow a range part to it where the bullets aren't "hot" or "sparking" enough before they hit the target.

Is the SDV incendiary not strong enough to penetrate an M1025? Do you need the NSV or BTR?

Oh nvm... Idk how but using only incendiary rounds I've managed to red damage the fuel tank on this one and drain out all the fuel but still not set it on fire...

thats where the humvee fuel tank is, in exp 1.2.1 7.62x54 api was broken at start and then they nerfed it and now im not sure if its meant to be like this
planting a c4 directly on the gas tank of the humvee and btr doesn't set them on fire which is sad
although a few rounds to the fuel tank for the american truck sets it on fire
I have just emptied 20 SDV mags point blank into the vehicle at every possible angle and location in the rear and into the fuel cap and I can't damage the vehicle at all now. I think it bugged out. That's enough testing for me.

Went to town with the big gun on the BTR and this is the result. definitely somehow managed to make the fuel tank invulnerable on this one.
Whatever the case, I don't think I'll be running around with an SVD hoping to set people on fire, so that's unfotunate.
Ok this is wierd, in 1.3 exp (i assume nothing has changed between that and 1.2.1), every vehicle that isnt a lav or btr or brdm other than the humvee, buhanka, mutt jeep and uaz 469 get set on fire in like half a mag of svd api

Do you know if the M2, NSV, or the big BTR gun (can't think of the name atm) have different "ignition values/probabilities" than the SDV? Or if any incendiary round is the same as long as it hits the fuel tank?
for some reason jeep, humvee, uaz 469, buhanka dont get set on fire immediatly after a few round, even if dumping loads of rounds into it. But the m923, ural, sarka, sarka van get set on fire after a few rounds.

Tracers really shouldn't be that effective in starting fuel tank fires anyways. They aren't actual incendiary rounds

Man it’s been a long time since I’ve jumped back on my modded server. Does anyone know why some of the modded uniforms seem so offset on our characters? I have mattock uniforms installed
latest update introduced new character rigs, modders need to redo weights otherwise they offset, some modders havent gotten round to it
modders had over a month to prepair for this hence why some work and others dont
Is there any way to lock sight picture with track ir while aiming down the sights? Currently playing with track ir it is close to impossible since even 1 cm movement will misalign sights and half of the time you are trying to find the spot where you centered it.
bind mouse 2 to pause in your trackIR app. set it to trap, not toggle. So when you right click to ADS, hold right click to focus, your trackIR should pause until you release it. Then you can use trackIR as normal. It has it downsides...
I really like lean function with track ir but yeah, it seems that pausing it while aiming is only way with current implementation. It works great with vehicles or just running around but aiming down the sights is completely messed up.
It could be fixed by removing look around function while aiming down the sights and keeping lean function so you can properly aim and don't have to carefully watch your posture when trying to lean.
you could also increase the deadzone more.

Buddy is saying that persistent loadouts are not saving when dying and choosing to respawn but saved loadouts in bacon show and work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled most up to date mods as of two days ago (12/27)

It won't if you are in conflict game mode rather than GM Game mode.
Select a side then you can join by joining a team or creating one and be the leader of the team and press deploy when it let you.

What do you mean? Players will be able to respawn on their own as soon as they die
If you're in a game master session the GM just needs to place a spawn point

They would have to animate every gun in every position with new reloads and everything else.. That's a lot of animation work.. Might have hope in A4 though
I hope so too. A4 has a "date" so I doubt Reforger will get expanded anywhere near A4. I'd love me some sniping from helis, boats, scoped MG for USA, BMP for USSR, bolt actions, sling loads, useful medics, and obviously tanks + more AT. Those are sadly low possibility. I'd say Reforger has fulfilled its purpose nicely, and after a round of fixes it should sail smoothly into 2027 when A4 takes over.
He didn't explicitly rule it out but Buchta said that FFV was deemed to be "too complex" to implement into Reforger "[...] at the moment".

Been playing for 2 days but is there anyway to heal yourself? I’ve notice when I have minor injuries that I can’t seem to figure out how to heal them.

inject yourself with morphine. Then eventually you'll heal yourself
How to heal.
To stop bleeding use a bandage for every wound that bleeds.
For blood loss use saline water.
For minor injuries use morphine and just wait.
Tourniquets may be used to temporarily stop heavy bleeding, but they impair movement. Sometimes it's faster to use them, find a cover that use a bandage. The same tourniquet may be use multiple times.
Do not overdose morphine.
To heal you need some one to "heal you" with a med kit inside the hospital buildings or tents or next to a ambulance

For those that use 21:9 ultrawide monitor, what FOV do you use? Do you use default 74 degrees or max 90 degrees?

Also, does the right/left edge image distorted a bit/stretched when using 21:9? Unlike when its in your center. When using 16:9 I noticed object a bit stretched when its not at your center screen. This using 70 FOV
little bit, it looks wonky when you look at a screenshot but its ok while in game
Why are are all the modern helicopters like flying tanks? Can't pen the underside of a little bird with 7.62 from an MG3 and can't shoot the driver out by mag dumping the ZSU 23mm armor piercing incendiary ammo through the windshield. I'm seeing Blackhawks survive 12 or more of 57mm armor piercing incendiary AA cannon shells. Only way to kill them is to snipe the pilot, start a fire that kills that kills the heli of hit a clit sized sweet spot on the rotor to make it pop off.

I think what you are seeing is desync. The problem is your target has to be hit serverside for it to register, so the faster it is the more unnaturally you have to lead it, because the position of the vehicle on your screen is behind where it is on server.
but commonly "why mod is X" answer is because its maker made it that way or something might bug
I think a few rounds from the zu23 into rotors of any helicopter in singleplayer will pop them off unless it's bugged.

When my ping is 150 and I want to destroy a helicopter I fire in front of it so much on my screen no hits land but it blows up because I hit it serverside.
every explosive in the game is op af now. tanks are getting crew wiped by 1 rpg, even throwing grenades at an abrams will kill the crew.
But it is not impossible that there is a bug in some mod maybe colliders of the rotor are not finished etc. Just my experience.
I actually boosted damage of the zu23 so I'm confident vanilla choppa rotors snap off after like 4 rounds max.
Maybe modded rotors are made out of vibranium
This goes for all helis and I'm not sure how many different modders made the hueys, blackhawks, mi24s, mi28s, little birds... they've all got absurd health and won't die unless you hit them with something actually explsive now that HE pens through walls like butter

Yep great for base defense, lay charges in a treeline, deploy detonator at fob, tell everyone to pop the detonator if enemies enter the forest

I went 79-0 in 10 minutes in the T55, its disgusting what explosives do. But I also die like 5 grenades thrown at me and 1 rpg wipes the whole crew.
We need to use vanilla as reference, if armor behaves weirdly compared to vanilla then it will be on the modder to patch
I have legit about 99% of my time spent in vietnam and inurgency, I don't know which vehicles are vanilla
I asked tandemheat about his 57mm AA truck he said "I wouldn't be surprised if the modded helis were just beefy bc those things used to shred."
Asked him if deals explosive damage at all because it looks like it explodes on impact but still, pilots are dying from impact with the ground and not me.

Both Hueys and Blackhawks were flying tanks on the AC servers I play on but its too soon to tell if Blackhawks stopped having "desync" hits. Theres not really any tanks besides the T72 which is not an AA tank. I do have a clip with the SPG9, pretty sure that is @simple horizon 's #videos_arma message
I just tested it and you are onto something. The rotors are indestructible unless you hit the shaft. However shooting a very short burst out of the ZU-23 into the general area of the cockpit instantly deleted the pilot. I used vanilla huey.
That's funny, I called it a clit sized sweet spot.
You can see the pilot vaporizes instantly in top right killfeed
It does take a surprisingly large amount of those bullets to light it on fire though. Will buff.

theoretically, what would happen if you buffed the penetration them by 50% or something? probably cut through them like butter as intended? Idk what would be reasonable but maybe its just that the helis are unreasonable. Nato 7.62 won't go through the littlebird.
Or from what Ive seen, is the passengers that get wiped by eplosives and small arms first, the pilots are by far the most procted from all angles.

Question… I’m seeing vanilla crossplay servers have their own scenario, are they just changing the name of the scenario somehow or do they have their own scenario made and loaded to their server with out the workshop? I was under impression you had to use the workshop to load a custom scenario
those are northgate's server. you can use the mission header to make your own layouts.

Ah I just made an Everon conflict with out the 100s of civi and fia vic spawns everywhere on the tools and wondered if I could get it loaded to our server with out using workshop/mods

This operator doesn't change your name it only shows the game to the DIRECTORY where the profile files are (ReforgerGameSettings.conf, ReforgerEngineSettings.conf and InputUserSettings.conf).

I seem to often have this issue (conflict official) where I build a structure at a base and it doesn't recognize that it has that support on the map. Dismantling and rebuilding can fix it. The things I build don't seem to have any missing parts.

There is no progress bar about the download. So the user don't know whether the mod is being downloaded or the screen froze. The devs acknowledged it is a bug, so hopefully fix will come in coming weeks

I think the queue being too long is on you 50 person max is unreasonable. Sth like 10 would be much better; at any given time you would have hundreds more people playing the game who would otherwise be sitting in that long queue. For some reason people don't scroll past 1st page of the browser. Once a server hits 49 players, it instantly shoots up to full.
HLL has six players queue max.
Although, I don't mind it. I like to play on the same server, and has no intention of playing on any other, so I don't mind waiting in queue.

If a server for example is a fast paced game mode, for example a gun-game or such, having a higher queue might be reasonable.
If the server on the other hand has a game more which takes time and has players engaging for hours instead of maybe one hour, using the 50 might not be appropriate.

I'm trying to blame BI for making max queue too long.... I think actually the logic is backwards; queue resets when round ends, so fast paced game-mode with long queue, you join and never get in.

If there was no limit of 50 server owners would put 9000, id say like 30 is the max thats good, 50 is just a lot

Well that is most obvious. For visibility. If you have 50 people queueing your server, it is exposed at the top of the server browser list. If you have 5 people queueing your server, it doesn't even show on the front page.

i would love to see VR support for like headtracking. i havent been a big fan of trackir. i feel like using a headset would be better since you can get a high-end headset for under $900 (Pimax Crystal Light) and for arma 3 the option was use vorpx without battleeye because it was not whitelisted or the other option was steam big screen beta and virtual desktop and enable trackir, but it wasn't immersive as vorpx was.
So it's a good thing in the end.

Is one of the helis better at surviving crashes than the other (objectively)? I'd assume the Mi-8 due to being wider and having wheels that (if unlocked) would do better with the physics than straight friction of the skis, but idk if anyone has stats somehow. Or if one just has more "crash health."

downloading mods is easy, it will automatically download the ones required by server, also a lot of the community servers are very popular and will be at top of server list, a fair few are modern
Yes they are mods for King of the Hill mode. The problem is that I don't know where to look for information and it costs a lot to buy the components in the game.
You'll probably need to look up the mod pages for the Scar and the individual optics you are curious about, and if the info isn't there then you need to ask for info on the discord for the modded server you're playing on.

hey, i'm new here. bought and started yesterday. thought I check out "combat ops - everon" before i hop in on a server. was quite fun yesterday. but seem like I can't load the save game today. UI said "saved session" or some thing like it whenever I arrived at a base...ehm hideout. and exit buttons said something like "save and exit". and in the scenarios list i can "continue" instead of "start". but it always seems to start a fresh game.
I'm quite confident I'm doing some obvious noob thing that prevents me from getting there. what am I doing wrong here?

Wrong game version is easy. Make sure the game on server and your PC is the same. Make completely doubly sure.

Will there be a performance patch soon for Xbox Series X? Scopes need a bit of work, and more controller settings would be helpful for aiming. And there’s a large performance drop in close quarters combat. Shooting of any kind in close proximity adds a lot of frame drops due to the flashes, bullets, UI, and impacts.

Honestly not sure. I see it often when playing on official servers, and sometimes it instantly goes away/fixes itself, and sometimes it gives the same error for maybe 5 minutes or so. There might be an actual issue with your server, but since that error seems to be something that just shows up whenever, it's hard to tell.

You can use an RCON client such as battlemetrics to issue ban commands without being on the server. Some providers will have a built in rcon console as well.

Can't speak from personal experience, but based on his knowledge about servers (shared on this Discord) and no complaints about it (in comparison to other hosters), I would say it's one of the better ones out there
Yeah his service is 100% geared towards Reforger so its a breeze to set up/configure your server. Ive been hosting with him for about 8 months and have no complaints

My friend used to use bacon but we recently switcher to liberty interactive and honestly there servers are way more consistent run better cheaper as well and the guys that run it are super chill and supportive 👍
I'd suggest not waiting for it. It's not 100% guaranteed that Playstation will get mods yet, and it could take even longer, so just live life and play reforger and if mods come out treat it like a surprise and celebrate

What's the kb button to change the ridicule brightness on your scope?
Alt tabbing all of the sudden means your computer has got to render all the other shit you have open, which it didn't care about when you were in Reforger, which itself may also be fairly graphically optimized (or does most of it's graphics on the CPU) leading to nearly no GPU usage in Reforger (also dependant on what you were doing in Reforger during the test).

I'm playing with windowed borderless, but i don't think reforger is optimized enought because in cities i've got 30 fps but still the gpu is at 0%
Then the second thing I said. The game might just not be programmed to use the GPU much (or something could be weird with your installation or setup). A similar thing used to (and still does to an extent) happen in a game called Star Citizen, where people would have terrible frames and their GPU would be seemingly doing nothing because the game was set to basically only use the CPU.

Just did a test myself and my GPU (RX 6800) was basically unused in the menus (spiked at 3% loading game up and 4% joining a server). However once I made it to the faction select screen my GPU usage was a solid 75%, and after spawning in I'm riding 100%.

They aren't in common use yet, and tbf the soviets ones do not compare at all to american ones, but no one really knows their reasons
Common use by infantry at least, pilots got em, special forces stole pilot ones somewhat, and armored vehicles often had their own Night vision sights. All for the US though, the soviets had a bit of a different dynamic
With those speeds you shouldn't be having problems, maybe reinstall and see if issue persists

Yeah only roles using NVG would be crewmen and pilots, and those would restrict aiming with weapon, as for the infantry only select units would have access to night vision scopes
Personally though I think reforgers would benefit from night vision, simply because it could provide a good sample of what to expect for Arma 4
I think the best argument for NVGs is the disparity in monitor settings/capabilities

Vehicle Crews don't even need it, they'd mostly rock NV sights on their optics rather than goggles sets, but pilots have no alternative to goggle sets, and giving it to them would be giving it to those walking loot boxes

even the 228th aviation regiment's 1st battalion that was deployed in support of operation just cause had anvis 6's in circulation. the 228th is not even part of EurCOM ( generally the best kit was prioritized for West Germany) but part of US Southcom stationed in Soto Cana Airbase in the Honduras.
So if active duty units assigned region of non primary importance are being issued latest kit by 1989 that would probably be the case for Europe

one of the companies had 15 hueys rest were hawks mixed with some cobra attack helicopters

I think 6s would feel a bit too modern personally, and 5s are still great and in use at the time from what I recall (not totally trustworthy sources)
if ANvis 6 is too modern id hate to think what people would think of FLIR being prjected into the Helmet sight ( IHAADS) for AH64A pilots during night flights

With 6s you can't run them without a bracket? So grunts can't really run them, so they'd need an alternative anyway like 7s (which is think are a year or 2 too new to make sense in reforger
But that doesn't solve the problem of not wanting ground troops to get night vision. But knowing them they'd just run the sph-4 and nods anyway
But id rather them run 5s without a helmet than have to run 6s with an SPH-4 (for ground boys)

pvs 7's were in service by 89, but they were still new and not super widesppread. I saw some footage of a 82nd airborne NCO in 1988 operation gallant eagle excercise, of the PVS7 being worn with a strap on the neck.

I say only for snipers, not as a gun type, but a gameplay type. Pulling out your map in the middle of active combat isn't probably a good idea, and if you are about to start active combat (rather than a single shot and staying hidden), you'd be better off sending a burst and making adjustments on the fly than figuring out your perfect ranging to then instantly be on the move.

You can use tracers to lead your shots in, guess via map, or find range via optics, pso scope has an easy to use rangefinder reticle, for American optics however you must learn mills system

The more you play the more you get used to it too, most players have the situational awareness of a turtle on a beach so you can spare a shot to make sure you're zeroed
I don't rock tracers, just look for the dust kicking up, tracers work both ways

Each small square is 100m (zoomed in on the map), zoomed out the squares are 1km or 1,000m. There are built in range finders on some scopes like the PSO1 but you need to learn how to read them.

In the stable build it doesnt really have one, closest to it is the humvee, for 1.3 which is the experiemental build for the game rn is the lav-25.
The devs have also said that having direct equivalents between factions is not their goal.

People can only respawn on deployed radio backpack. They consume supply. Wearing on back it just function as a long range radio

Correct, you can only have 1 deployed at a time, and you have to dismantle it to deploy another one.
Also, why the backpack has it's own supplies, you can supplement that with any supply source. IE a vehicle full of supplies next to it, or even a Depot.

so radios have an inherent range, if you set up repeater towers which receive whatever you transmit and transmit it at a higher power with a higher range you can communicate back to the main base
so you can only command and control bases that you can communicate with
isn’t it somewhat like squad in that you need to have a form of radio in order to acquire supplies to a fob
so you set up repeaters to increase your range so you can capture more bases to set up repeaters.

There's three kinds of radio range I've found. Sometimes, something is close enough to radio to capture, but not to connect back (best examples Tower Regina to Coastal Morton or Saint-Pierre). Then there's "standard range" where a base is close enough to capture and if you build a radio antenna at that base it will connect back to the main network. And then there's "close/overwhelmed" range, where sometimes a base is connected back to the main network without having a radio antenna built on site. This appears so be more common with bases connected to 2-3 other bases that do have radio antennas, but I've yet to figure out the actual logic to it (or what bugs are connected to "close and far ranges").
Connection to the main network means that you are able to spawn at that base (should supplies be available), and that it will start regenerating supplies at about # per ~4 seconds, where the number is how many friendly bases are nearby and connected directly to this base with radio antennas built. The regeneration numbers seem to sometimes be different (smaller) on bases in "close range" with no radio antenna built, but this can be fixed by building one. Note that sometimes at a newly captured base (or a base with a newly built radio antenna) there may be an initial one-time respawn cooldown of about ~2:30. I also don't know the logic of exactly how that works and when it does or does not apply, but if it is happening you will see the countdown on the map when you hover over the base for info. Note that radio towers (Regina and Entre Deux) do not count towards or affect the supply regeneration number.
Purple bases have a default +10 to their supply regen number once connected back to the main network, and the main base is either +5 or +10 (I feel like this was changed at one point but I might be insane). All bases except for the main base regenerate to 1500 supplies, and then stop. The main base seems to regenerate infinitely (until storage is full). As such it's important to build extra storage at the main base to make sure it's never full. Note that some bases have hidden storage close enough to them to count as actual base storage which can be regenerated into (Ex: Villeneuve) however the behavior of storages like that is not consistent across the map (unique to each base).
Multiple radio antennas built at a base do not appear to have any benefit (in terms of radio network functionality; redundancy is good). Whether the location of a radio antenna actually changes the range I'm unaware (and even if it does I'm not sure there'd be anywhere on the map it would practically affect).
Also somewhat related, the supply cost of a default loadout is 20 (which with a living quarters is just 10), which is much less than the actual cost of that loadout (the binoculars alone are 25).

Idk anything about what is or isn't possible but could you spawn an invisible radio tower (full tower like Regina/Entre) maybe under the map or in the sky at the location you deploy the mhq, and then a spawn zone with some logic to it? If the radio range works in 3d then you could adjust how far you want those to reach by moving the tower spawn vertically as well...
