@knotty fjord I did this on veteran with a controller on my first try, the ai is good at cqb because it's not hard to hit a target from 10 feet away and they have fast reflexes. You should be using your q/e keys to peak around cover which would significantly reduce their accuracy. I would also avoid going off by yourself as it makes you their only target and you get no support. You would have a much easier time following your squad that goes around the fence to your right. Although yeah, that was dumb how the invisible wall wouldn't let you shoot them

I think that even if you got past the issues of attaching a gigantic cylinder on the end of the barrel, you'd still have issues of losing velocity and accuracy, potentially reducing lethality, as well as reducing visibility, which is already quite bad in a tank

Being armoured doesn’t make it technically a tank. A tank is defined not just by being armoured but also in its purpose. That is a self propelled gun and should never be used in the same way as a tank
