hi
Minor question about the T-72s in the DLC, why don't they have ERA? Is that the configuration that was used by Czechoslovakia in the 80s?
T72s in ΔSLA were not equipped with ERA. First time ERA was used was on the M2, M3/M4 CZ prototypes during the 90's.
Sorry to get back so late, thanks! That's interesting!
Did Russian T-72s get ERA before Czechoslovakian ones?
Russia introduced Kontakt-1 in 1983 so yes (if we include Cactus ERA then even earlier)
Thanks!
why isn't the vz.52 rifle included? it is a good rifle for militia factions.
Simply it was not in the scope of the main release. Same goes for rifle vz.54, lmg vz.52, SMG vz.24/26 an others. There is over a dozen other weapons that would deserve to be included but then there are other assets we want and so we have to prioritize.
Still none of these are forgotten by us.
Enjoy the SUMMER SALE and get the CDLC CSLA Iron Curtain with the 25% discount.
Don't forget also on additional OPERATIONS PACK which is continuously updated.

Can anyone who has the CLSA CDLC, tell me how does its map compare to other CDLCs, particularly Global Mobilization's map, how would you describe this map?
The terrain is quite different in character; Weferlingen is flat, CSLA - Gebreta has many hills
True, CSLA Gabreta is mountainy terrain, while GM Werfelingen is pretty flat so rather focused on tank to tank combats
it feels like Everon and Chernarus has a baby
and that baby's name is Gigachad
Great map. Like they said it is very mountainous compared to GM; which is fairly similar to the Vietnam maps. Although the Vietnam maps have plenty of water area mixed in to break it up.
Every part of Gabreta is pretty well made and unique. I love it actually
If I had to say one bad thing about Gabreta: You can see the treetops on the satmap, and it looks weird with physical trees on top. Besides that, the terrain is extremely versatile. You can use it for Cold War, present-day, and 2035, and it still feels like it has character to it, especially some of the buildings that feel kind of like log cabins to me.
Also I love those buildings
is iron curtain dlc fixed
like no more spinning tanks
That was changed in the hotfix when it was released.
There are hints of an update in the works, but it is not to the point where the developers can start advertising it due to the QA procedures of BI.
CSLA Studio will use this thread to provide information about future updates to the Creator DLC: CSLA Iron Curtain. Discussions about the updates are welcome in the relevant forum thread: ο»Ώ If you have any questions about Global Mobilization make sure you visit our FAQ page.
An update is truly in the works. We're in a rather late stage of the development but we'd still need green light from BI to give more information.
There is an update in the works? Last update was a year ago? I am worried they have abandoned it?? So is there any "official" information about an update being worked on?
SunCZu is from the CSLA team so you could argue that you just replied to that "official" information, above π
I just realised that
Thanks for the reply Edit: And I am glad there is an update in the works π
I look forward to the update
"Unfortunately" we have to wait for the upcoming SOG update first
we are now out of the way!
You, now we have to actually do something! π
yep cracks whip!
i keep replying in social media to people who say "this [sog] is the only dlc that gets updates" - it's crazy how people jump to those conclusions
GM already did a bunch
they don't realise how much the teams are driven by passion for their work, and not so much by money.
tbh all those content updates are also a bit of a bad precedence. by now people expect cdlcs to get a constant stream of updates.
of course players do not care that updates cost money to make.
yeah i guess it depends on a lot of things what or how much may be updated.
GM is by definition ambitious - global mobilisation - and we set our price based on what we planned to include after release, so got accused of being a "cash grab" etc
you just can't win with everyone eh, but that's received wisdom about humanity since the Romans
i learned that even adding free stuff can lead to a bad outcome π the nato stuff in WS is a good example for that. we only added it because we could and why not. it was never supposed to be in there. but it turned out to be quite a visually prominent feature, so when people look at the content, they assume WS is just a (nato) reskin.
it would be much more economical to build everything and release it in one go, but there's a shortage of talent, and the shelf-life of Arma 3 to consider eh
we each have our visions of what we want to do. and over time more people will look at what we did and appreciate it with nostalgia
General public be like:
More content = Good
in case of the nato stuff in WS, it probably would have been better to not add it at release, but in a patch following the release. suddenly the perception shifts from "this is all reskin" to "oh look, free new content"
i've stopped responding in any way to any posts that focus on the absence of something else when you present them with a free update containing other things
this whole stuff is oddly psychological π
mig 21 when?
that would make modders adding it first before the cdlc team
that's a possible risk, yeah.
agree your nato skins would have a good reception as an extra. we tend to throw everything that is currently ready into an update, regardless of the logic. that leads a lot of people to wonder why we did this but not that etc, like having a mig pilot and bombs and missiles for it in 1.0. the mig artist gave up! and it took a while to replace him.
do updates also need CDLC tester or the team doing it themselves?
everything goes through QA
we do our own QA (as much as possible, but always things get missed == normal) and BI do QA (same - things can get missed) and then public beta is optional, as is post-update hotfix.
QA is actually quite costly
Me. I'm not a demanding guy. If there is a update with new content, cool. If there isn't cool. All I want is If there is any bugs or issues with the product that they are addressed and fixed the best they can.
With the CDLC, you know what you are getting when you spend the $$$ on it. So I don't see the point in complaining that a CDLC doesn't get get new content. It is just bonus content to me.
Glad it was in there. I enjoy it a lot!
I dont think anyones dissing the sweet Marshal Varients you guys put into the game, matter of fact its probably a big selling point
nice
