Hey guys
So I want to change my Windows today. I've been using Win8.1 for 6 years now and I'm ok with it. It doesn't have any annoying bugs that make me wanna pull my hair out.

But now I'm considering switching to Win10 (mostly because the latest versions of some of the software I use require Win10) However, I did try Win 10 a few years ago (when it was just out) and it was HORRIBLE.

Also, I'm not sure if it's just people being dumb, but I see a lot of issues on FT where people on Win10 complain about crashes and bad A3 installs, which makes me wonder if Win10 has memory management and/or IO issues.

So for those who use Win10 today, what do you think? Is it worth it?

P.S: I don't care about DirectX12 (cuz I hardly ever play games now) and other useless crap

@boreal urchin A partition can be either primary or logical. On older MBR formatted drives you could only have 4 primary partitions. To get around that a primary partition was created as extended which could contain logical partitions. GPT formatted drives does not share the same limitation.

Don't know if this is the best place to ask but anyone know of any IDEs with SQF plugins that are comparable to intellij? The plugin I'm using for that hasn't been updated in years now and the last update broke it for me (I'm a fan of hashmaps, the plugin doesn't recognise those). I personally use Notepad++ (which is easier to update when new commands are added)

But again it misses a lot of features compared to intellisense

37 should take days to compute, took 5 minutes on my GTX 1070

Teamspeak would run it on 1 CPU thread, I run it on 1024 GPU threads.

Fact is, they will make it as difficult as possible to run Win11 on an older, but otherwise fine PC which means that in 2025 tons of pcs will become junk. Their goal here is obvious. Windows 10 failed to push pc sales and Windows 11 targets to change that.

pre-xp had sharp corners, from XP to windows 7 they had rounded corners, then they switched back to rectangular

I guess since ppl user multiple devices with different operating systems which I believe all have rounder corners now it makes sense to adopt that "standard". Expecially since android apps will run on Windows 11.

mmm, i long ago threw task bar on side of screen

and I often am remoting into other machines, so I tend to throw different machine taskbars into different sides of screens to make sure I know which is which :)
