Yeah, picture this, you're in a hostile envronment an authentic maze, fighting against a irregular enemy, they use common clothes like non combatants and you have to avoid colateral damages. Most of times you have to literally climb to progress and take control of the area.
Rio de Janeiros favela's are mostly at hills, so the gangs have a clear vision of your actions, its a fucking nightmare!

@violet pecan looks like the person got a whole lot of 1024x1024 materials and just stretched it out super wide. Doesn't look all that great in my opinion

it's just the hard color changes that make it look worse
all vanilla terrains use 1m/px
and your image above shows the surface detail texture, not the satelite image

Anyhow, Lythium looks great. I used it too for a shot we ended up using in the promos for the MiG-29S

The 5.56 mm HK416F rifle was selected in March 2016 as the winner of the Future Individual Weapon (AIF) to replace the 400,000 FAMAS F1/G2 rifles currently in French service. The MoD said at the time the requirement was for 117,000 rifles, 93,080 of which would go to the army. The MoD announced in September 2016 that it had placed a contract with Heckler & Koch for more than 100,000 HK416F rifles. Ehhhh, apparently the FAMAS is going to the National Guard which was officially reconstituted last year; the HK416 reportedly won against the FN SCAR-L, the Sig MCX, the Beretta ARX160, and HS Produkt's VHS-2 which is a bullpup... though the VHS series has been in use by Iraqi uniformed forces this year and last

I was bummed I couldn't find a decent woodland retexture of the Gorgon, so I made my own (looks a lot closer to the Pandur II now)

unfortunately it's not as visible as I was hoping, I might have to work on the SMDIs aswell to make it stand out more
not to mention the specular is far too high considering how much darker my textures are compared to the original ones
turns out giving the dirt/mud layer some gloss and specular makes a noticeable difference

@SuicideKing#6140, right?? I think that every military armor/plate/vest, military uniform model, and almost every military headgear model in game should have at least a generic desert and generic woodland texture, for people who like to go off book with their scenarios.
Arma 3 Aegis comes with Woodland and Desert camo variants for vanilla soldiers.
(There are also desert variants, but I don't have any images atm.)

Been messing around with Reshade. Just wanted to do some touching up, emboss, luma sharpen for more details, lift gamma gain for deper shadows, but the biggest thing was the ambient light, I really like how it made the whole thing look. Note that I did have vanilla bloom enabled at 100

Man, the reshade has a really meaty Ambient occlusion, too bad its wonky and loses depth in first person. The AO in arma can't be set to be as strong sadly.
