i highly recommend downloading the enhanced missile trail mod and something like Real Engine/Blastcore for that

I set the time speed to 12x and then recorded a video for about 8 min.
I then used blender to render the individual frames as images at 20x speed, then used StarStaX to make it into the trails.
Finally, i used gimp to make the foreground that of just a single image to avoid oversaturation and blur.

For the record: Joris Jan visited my fire station and used real emergency vehicle details in the Laws Of War DLC, for that they gave me some credits in dirt😉 (and on the DLC credits of course). I was not aware at that time what the pictures were to be used for as at that time was really early days of them just opening up the Amsterdam office working on a unannounced project (later called project Orange).

Well, this is the problem. You must decide what the main focus of the image is. If it is the plane or the scenery, you must center the camera on one, the latter or former.

The human eye is easily tricked and confuseable because of this.

One thing I always suggest is to zoom in, at least a bit more - default camera FOV is almost make the scene wide enough from a fish eye, which is not a regular camera lens

Doesn't necessarily have to be centered. Rules of thirds is a thing. I would say though that having the plane on the "third line" that is on the right might be a bit better because if something is facing a direction you want to give it "room to move" (space in front of it).
