However during this run it seems that he might not be alone in the base after all.

This is my first time editing my own photos so feel free to give me some pointers on how to improve if you guys want 🙂

Honestly, I didn't really put much thought into it, but then it dawned on me that I could get a good shot if he was positioned right, and a good shot I did get.

I’m trying to get to that point in Arma man 😭 I’m slowly getting there one step at a time

I mean, for me I usually follow some steps..

All from art classes, that being..

1. Lighting - Critical to show the shapes and depths of the objects being shot, more detail can be shown just by the right time of day.
2. Positioning (Camera and objects) - You don't want the camera too far away, or too close. Mess with the FOV. That is also critical in getting a good shot.
3. Scenery - Keep in mind of the landscape. If that's what you're focusing on, focus on it. But if you are going for a separate object rather than the terrain, focus more on the object, rather than the terrain, but still keep some factor of the terrain in, or surroundings so it doesn't seem too plain or empty.

I got more but yeah.. I don't want to flood this chat, as I've been screwed over many times by others...

As I can give a few pointers, to these photos... If you want.

So, for the first photo...
We see a soldier with his gun out, aiming at something (I'm assuming..). What's he aiming for? Try and get an idea and sense of what the composition is going to be about. And try to include all those feature of it in that one shot.. For me, I'd maybe swipe the camera a bit behind him, and aim it in the direction the soldier is, scale the FOV up so it looks slightly zoomed in.

So it makes it look more.. Immersive. Maybe tilt it just the slightest bit, to make it look even more in depth. Maybe in the distance there's a group of soldiers, or a convoy... (As I'm just assuming), maybe add that in the distance far away, but not too far that it's too small to not be able to be recognized, that is, if the terrain allows it.

The lighting looks good, so stick with that. Keep in mind the angle of the camera. Don't want it facing too far down that all you see is the ground and no horizon, you do want some horizon in the photo as well.

So, for example.. I just made this quick scene with some VR ents just so you get the point. Keep in mind the bottom left where it shows all the stats of the camera. See how I moved the camera behind the soldier, zoomed in the direction he's facing, and have more than just the soldier itself? The two ents in the distance also help fill up the scene, to draw attention to what the soldier is doing..

RK Moskowien units are wearing Steingrau on top and khakigrau on bottom which are both used by the NVA irl. They also have the Katzschen that got included in the latest update. Using CW3 BAF's FV432 which has a very strong resemblance to it by simply turning it "Hollywoodified" or "Red Dawned"
