Your main problem is using mods that contain stolen content
SWOP. It’s why they’re banned from here and the Forum
Well.. You mainly use that "swop" thing. So.. That's probably what's causing the problems

My laptop runs this game fine on standard settings at 40 fps but relatively often it will have a 1 second stutter. Vsync is disabled. I'm trying to figure out what has gone wrong..

If you ever come to reinstall windows or another SSD, Partition it so the OS has 100GB, it then means you get XYZ to use for games and the like
Makes life so much simpler if you ever want to just reinstall windows and not everything on the drive too

My experience is that ACRE tends to be the awkward one historically although we haven't had much in the way of issues lately. But end of last year we skipped at least one version

If you have a place to stick some files on the internet then use Swifty to ensure everyone gets precisely the mods you intend and started, removes all the hassle

A really minor change could make the comms a lot more useful, instead of or in addition to side just have team leaders. Then it becomes very much like most communities set up their comms. Then you make local go a bit further and louder and you have a workable solution that scales to the size of games Arma supports.
It is actually surprisingly easy to get 95% of what you actually need with some small tweaks to the existing system, it is side channel and local that are the big issues for scaling the comms, the micro and the macro are broken by being too broad and too short range

So everytime I launch ArmA 3. My controls are set to ArmA 3 Apex, which I hate. So I have to change back to ArmA 3 regular controls. But then I have to rebind my keys. Yes when I'm done binding my keys I do click ok. And finalize it. And that saves for my current play session. But if I were to close ArmA 3. And reopen it. My controls revert back to ArmA 3 apex controls and I have to do it all over again.
I've googled this issue for months. And kept getting pointed in the same direction. That my folders are set to read only. So I've tried changing that. And that keeps reverting back to read only. Can someone please help me. I'm tired of this shit.

Also tried changing the folder from "read only" But they just revert back to read only.
Then delete Arma3 And Arma 3 - Other profiles if you've got nothing to lose, Arma will recreate them

Basically. Reformatted my hard drives. Reinstalled windows 10, and Arma 3. installed Windows 10 last thursday. And ArmA 3 the day after. Was having the same issue before I lost my OS and had to reformat and reinstall things. I've deleted those folders you mentioned. I've tried going into the folders options and going through the advanced options and checking the permissions thing.
And thats what I'm trying to figure out. but no one knows. I think I found out where my controls are saved. But of course each key on the keyboard has a number. and idk that shit.

Rather than using the switch case for the key, you might be able to get it to kick out a hint of the key value instead.

Well. I booted up A3. And kept the controls on ArmA 3 Apex settings. But changed a keybinding. Exited the game, and restarted it. Check the controls. And it stuck.

It's a generic windows error. Could mean anything. When does this happen?
when arma crashes 0xC00000005 - status_access_violation

goes though loading screen, (loading profile, initializing addons, ect) then after that, in about 2 mins the game crashes sending me the 0xC000005 . game never fullly launches. HOWEVER, if i run in vanilla the game runs fine.

Unsub to all your mods. And go to your ArmA 3 workshop folder and delete the workshop folder and empty your recycling bin.

yes im running exile however Ive had this come up in previous servers that werent exile, their is an entry in the feedback tracker going back to 2013 but no fix was applied

(not sure if this is the right section, but sorry if it isn't). recently factory reset my pc, and im attempting to get buldozer to work, yet having some issues. -- If I use this path to have buldozer open- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\arma3.exe -buldozer -name=Buldozer -window -noLand -exThreads=0 -noLogs -noAsserts -cfg=buldozer.cfg it works fine... but the textures don't show (even though Path to textures is set to P:\ - but if i use P:\buldozer.exe -buldozer -name=Buldozer -window -noLand -exThreads=0 -noLogs -noAsserts -cfg=p:\buldozer.cfg for the external viewer path, it says Arma 3 has stopped responding, then says no external viewer found. Tried solving this for like 2-3 days now and really can't figure it out.

might be the problem with your addon path so check that
also make sure to run arma 3 tools and configure everything from there first, mount P drive and alike, note that recently it places P drive in \username\My Documents\Arma 3 Projects\

Hey, hoping someone is able to fix my issue, so I am working on a map and I have some help working on it with Xcam, but some of them are getting the "Mission Terminated because DLC content Required" when they try to play on the map. I went through and there are no Apex assets on the map, does anyone know what could be causing the issue?
There USED to be tanoa assets on the map, but I removed them.

I used to play arma 3 on med-low specs with 30 fps on med-low settings. Now, I have recently started playing on a new PC med-high spec - GTX 860M and I7-4710 HQ with Arma 3 on my HDD. I'm encountering stutter that happens consistently, dropping my normally 40-50 fps to a standstill for about 1-2 seconds. It's not rendering in textures - I've tried vanilla, all graphics settings, and wierdest of all, the stutter doesnt happen if i move my camera around in eden editor - I've moved the camera in the same spots as i would in game but with no stutter. I dont have a clue why this is happening. I will try on an external SSD and see what difference it makes...
my arma 3 wont work everyt time i try to launch it. it stops starting at the "loaidng addons," then its followed by a pop up window. with the Exixt code: 0xCFFFFFFF - STATUS_APPLICATION_HANG . Tried without addons and reinstalled the game nothing worked any ideas?

If you didn’t start there, odds are you’ve most likely set up your tools incorrectly.
I managed to get buldozer open before, then there was a mnessage saying that it couldnt open a .paa file and it stayed there with a white terrain, then i used the tut tutorial and changed a setting and now it wont open at all. followed tut to the letter with no result so far. re installing arma3 tools tools now.

it has been a common mistake in the past and your project folder structure may be messed up

yep indeed i have, even reinstalled arma3 tools, I always seem to get so far yet get caught up on the buldozer issue
however on the logs there is no mention of todays not being able to get into buldozer

can't wait, I only wanted to get plain island up, no trees bushes or buildings, just a simple bare map, with all the stuff ive done on computers this is far the most bloody awkward and complicated thing ive ever started, trouble is once i start something i really cant give up. i have a fair bit of trouble getting my models, tools and import to work
the pbo i work on is on my pdrive, confugured by mikeros tools, when i import the model obj, which is triangulated and quick uv mapped, and i try to apply a texture, it just ingores the texture altogether whether tga, paa or jpeg ( power of 2 format, 24 bit tga)
on export i get a "shadow lod too deailed", "old style material flags", "unrecognized texture type" error
ingame the model "works" but its invisible and doesnt have sound o impacts

Hello, I am having an issue with arma 3 right now.
Everytime I get into a vehicle or there is thunder (low rumbling noises) my audio will begin to static and my game will freeze as if my frames are dropping.
I have a video for which this occurs. I have looked and found many different solutions, but none of them seem to work because I cannot do crucial steps to go through with them.

Corsair Headset Drivers were uninstalled and after plugging them back in are back online

the crackling noise could be an audio buffer overflow wich causes the sound engine to surrender and crash
So I just found out 2 things.
- When using rift audio with arma, it will cause my entire windows to crash in a service exception shutdown
- When using my monitor sound with no mods, I get 0 crackling and 0 frame droppage with 0 mods when going highspeed in a hunter.
Now going to try it with mods.
Next is Headest w/ and w/o mods

some vehicles have a built in thing
otherwise press right ctrl + M to bring up the GPS/minimap
it has compass bearings
commanders and gunners should have azimuths built into their sights
and well, on dev branch the vehicles have interiors now so those include compasses
and should allow use of the infantry compass as well

I do it for years already. Yes I want to have normal FPS and use 70-90% of my 27" display for driving and aiming and not 5% far away placed PiP displays. There is no so much "windows" in armored vehs.
Bradley/BTRs etc in arma 2(same in A3) have driver interror with "windows" for years. So? USELESS

- I don't know where this idea of pip displays has entered the discussion. I'm assuming you mean the Armata? Afaik that's the only thing with pip displays for driving.
- It seems you clearly haven't used dev branch and tried out the new interiors, because none of what you're saying makes sense. Nothing eats up your FPS in the interiors. (except for the armata maybe, but no one's reporting a catastrophic drop in FPS)
- You can still get the old 2D display even with the new interiors.

well, no compass then? afaik vanilla vehicles will have GPS by default. if you're not using vanilla vehilces then it's up to the mod makers.

My arma profile is suddenly no longer working, none of my MP missions I was working on are showing. I only have the one profile, the defualt one. I luanch with A3Sync using mods.

Sometimes it happens in our co-op missions that someone respawns at 000000 and then we have to restart everything. How can we prevent this?
Fix the script that teleports people to 000000. Never heard of that happening anywhere where it was not caused by a script

It just happens sometimes and when you restart arma completely it doesn't happen anymore. It's just random

Hey I have a massive problem in Arma. We wanted to play a coop mission and everytime we load the game I get stuck in the loading screen. I am in the game and can do everything (going around, even hear the sound) but I do only see the loading screen. Why? And what can I do?

If you do not have the knowledge to understand what he means, don't use it. Its not meant as a sleight, but more of a "If you don't know how to perform brain surgery, do not attempt it"
I just want to play Arma not to study or conduct research. There is no description that explains how I can use it in MP. "For MP you have to adjust the script" or something like that is not really helpfull.
Unfortunately Arma isn't that kind of game
it requires a bit of research and effort to do some things

so I'm new here and I've been trying to make my first terrain using the PMC terrain tutorial but when I do the "add mapframe" step in terrain builder, it doesn't work and it just creates a blank instead of what the tutorial shows

as bad_module_info is exactly the same as "Oh noes! Arma crashed for some reason that I won't tell you"

You're using a client? You must've checked off a box for server launch
Go yo your parameters section, and somewhere near the bottom you'll have network related parameters. Uncheck anything that may be starting a server with parameters rather than a client

stayed at 0 i run it like early morning 3am and when i wake up and go to check about 10:30am stayed 0
it probably has trouble checking all your mods
you could unsub from all of them and resub
so move them out then back after that run steam again

move back and run steam again and see if it reads the mods again and finds the broken ones and repairs them
if not unsub and resub
you can export your mod list from the launcher and use that to resub them all

hey... is there any chance i could get help here? im struggling with BE/arma/steam? for 2 days right now, and nothing seems to be working... Wasnt playing arma for like a year, downloaded it 3 days ago, subbed mods from workshop (as recommended on servers discord), and when i tried to join ANY server, im constantly getting kicked with "battleye game restart required". Doesnt matter if game is modded or not, tried checking files, reinstalling arma, steam, unsubbing and subbing again mods, reinstalled battleeye, tried to use arma3sync to run arma3battleye.exe with params, not working. Resetted router (as someone adviced), not working. Turned off anti-vir, problem still not solved. Tried to google, and after tons of topics and methods (posts from 2k15), nothing works.
Try turning on BE if it isn't already, and start A3 in admin mode @elfin sapphire
