hello, idk where to post this so here will do. Currently playing the Arma 2 Campaign, and im stuck on the Manhattan mission. The insurgent leader that you are supposed to kill has decided to play hide and seek over the whole map, and i cant find him. The main base was searched and no body matched him. What the fuck do you do to go forward?

If you don't trigger that cutscene then the objective won't complete no matter what.

Just gotta find his "corpse" and it should trigger the cutscene where he's bleeding out and begs for mercy.

Once the cutscene finishes you can grab the documents off his body.

If you can't find his body you might need to reload to a save just before you started attacking the main base.

This objective can be pretty buggy so sometimes the cutscene never triggers even if you find his body.

To host a server or a game session locally, you need to make sure first that your WAN address / external IP uses the IPv4 protocol!
Check your router’s status page in the settings to confirm. (If in doubt, ask your ISP, Websites like “whatismyip.com” give you a false positive!)
Local servers and games can not be hosted on an IPv6 network, or IPv4 via DSlite tunnel!

I just skimmed through the video so I might have misunderstood his point, but I'd like to slightly criticize it even though he has a point there. Lack of not trying enough yourself might also be just a symptom that you're trying to do something that you really aren't passionate about, and focusing on solving the problem from the video's perspective would cause even more issues in that case (under some circumstances at least) when you should really find something else to do that will make you enjoy the ride as well instead of just the end result. (There are good points against this as well too, like this argument: https://codewithoutrules.com/2018/11/12/enthusiasts-vs-pragmatists/ )

Is there something i'm missing with setting up an arma 3 server? Ports open on both UDP and TCP are 2302-2306, same goes for the firewall. My computer is set to being discoverable in case that mattered and I've tried with both UPNP on and off, independently of port forwarding and with.

I've somehow managed to get this to work before, but right now it's failing me big time. Some VLAN services have also somehow worked in the past.

most aircraft that have forward lasers are used in hunter killer teams, where the plane in the rear is aiming the laser and the one out front drops the bomb.

I was playing arma, messing about with NR6, and an AI Jet took off, somehow dodged the SAM Missiles, crippled the entire defense of the airbase, crippled almost the full force of the enemy army, destroyed the enemy Jet aswell and then got shot down

Not removing the sights, but removing the ability to zoomin. So for example, obviously on iron sights its a 1x zoom. But, Arma allows you to zoom in up to 4x times.

For vehicles I would say atleast 10x that

That really puts into perspective also how expensive CDLCs are to develop.. This is why we cannot give DLCs for free people..
And no (to all the piracy enthusiasts) getting paid for making this content is not BI trying to scam you or BI being bad people that are just out for your money.
Getting a human to work on something for you for 8+ weeks, just costs alot of money

This is also the exact reason why I've tried to make noise about utilizing "paid modding"/CDLC/younameit scheme more. It's not about getting rich quick, it's about vastly extending of what's possible in Arma. I truly think and hope that we'll finally see the full potential of the series finally being realized with Arma 4 and further Enfusion based games, given that BI won't go bankrupt in the process
