Hi,

I'm looking to make a recipe book in Typst, and need help making the template for each recipe...

I would like to have a template where I can generate each recipe in the same manner, so that the overall book looks consistent. Something like the attached image.

I am able to write basic functions, setup a table, but dont really get the overall system :/ GPTs dont help me much either..

Appreciate any guides along the way!

Thank you

it's not perfect

but you can adjust it to your needs

wow, thank you very much! Looks really nice!

#

@robust geyser , it looks really good! Exactly what I was looking for and attempting to make!

Is there any way to guarantee that the image will always be on the "left page", i.e. even pages and instructions on odd pages?

well, in this solution it's just one page split in two, which isn't perfect for that use-case

#

but that can be changed

#

though the preview won't be quite as nice then

#

wait a second

#

after printing and binding it should look like this:

#

(well, a bit more paper-y)

Great, thank you
pagebreak(weak: true, to: "even")

which means that the image will always be on the even page
