I would like to print 8 pages (in the order shown in the picture) in a single A4, but I would like that content distributes automatically between them, I don't want to manually distribute the content to each "sub-page".

So I can't find the issue, but this was definitely discussed before, not sure if the issue actually exists.
Technically, a valid argument would be that you should just external tool to do this, but I can see how doing the entire layout process in Typst is way more convenient. Either way, the future of this feature completely depends on the new layout engine (see here https://discord.com/channels/1054443721975922748/1175897980537159751), which is on the way.

if you need to do this like now you could just define the page size in typst to be 1/8 of the entire page and then use another program to put the pages on the other page
