Very slow progression

I bought this game, and i unlocked tier 1 tree only after hour and a half of playing. I don't know if it's meant to be like this or if it's just me who's really slow, but i got bored and i think i would have enjoyed the game more if it progressed a bit faster. Also i got tried from running back and forth with bricks and planks, i wish i could automate this process. Just sharing my own experience and opinion

The first few tiers should be pretty quick if that's all you focus on, and automation starts being unlocked in tier 2 or 3 I believe. You eventually can automate almost everything and the train station can be locked so you can focus on building and not get overwhelmed, but town ranks will not progress unless tourists are visiting your town but a few simple decorations and 1-2 shops should progress you pretty swiftly.
