Players with a bounty on them that has been accepted by another player cannot peace flag or Decoy.

this part wouldnt work, I could just pick someone and tell my guild mate to accept the bounty without the goal of killing the target, essentially abusing it so the target cant use peace flags

i think he means the hunter cannot peace flag while hunting

I did mean both players but I see where you are coming from. thats why i added being able to see the hunters but still, yes may not work

Yeah but even if you see the hunters the friend of the hunters would be able to just kill you over and over again without claiming the bounty?

reme gime some credit it was my idea i just dont have permission to post it ):, also i think it would be better if it wasnt uav like black flag but more like recent location or general area

hmm, ok. well only the first person to kill the player gets the bounty, after that its in the hold of the killer bounty hunter and the player is free.

Personally I like the idea just pointing on stuff that I think still needs some brainstorming

Editing this because of the limit:
So someone places bounty on me. I ask my guildmate to kill me essentially freeing myself.

no players from the same faction (and guild) cannot accept the bounty. ah but i see the problem... a player accepts the bounty, then tells players that haven't accepted the bounty where the player is... Edit: So in that case anyone outside the faction (or guild for pirates) that kills that player regardless if they have accepted the bounty or not. receives the bounty payout in their hold and frees the player from the bounty. but they cannot peace flag while the payout is in their hold but they can leave it in port.

anyone outside the faction (or guild for pirates) will receive the bounty rewards for killing the player and free them of the bounty. neutrals too

Right

What prevents guilds or even whole factions for mass using bounties on the opposing guild/faction?

#

To be fair a bounty system already exists in form of Black Marks. I know its not the same as your idea but what if introducing some extra mechanics/changes to the existing system to improve?

fathom pond

Yeah, probably just making black marks last longer and be more profitable would do...

Maybe introducing tiers so the more people you kill the higher the bounty rewards get and the Black Mark lasts

fathom pond

yeah, maybe adding a visible reward for killing the black marked player on the map that increases with each kill until the black marked player is killed. and the reward is persistent, even if the black mark timer runs out, so next time they get a black mark the reward is already bigger.

i think it shouldnt show the bounty on the map the same way a black mark does, maybe shows the general location in a large circle or the location can only be viewed when at port or even only showing the last known port the bounty docked at so its not so easily abused and there can also be a cooldown for how often a player can have a bounty placed on them so it doesnt get spammed
