Official Complaint: Gold Account Loss After Being Entered

Hello,

I have a serious concern regarding the gold account system and how it is managed.

I believed that the gold stored in my account would be safe. Like everyone else, I played normally—traveling around, completing quests, and saving up over time. However, because I had to briefly enter the PvP area for a treasure hunt, I got “entered” and lost 400,000 gold.

How is this even possible? How can you seriously justify this?

Since the gold is not a physical item stored in a warehouse, it should not be lootable. This is completely unacceptable.

This is an official complaint about a system that does not warn players that their banked/account gold can be lost if they get entered.

I understand that I will not receive the gold back in any way—but it is an absolute disgrace that this can happen at all.

This has completely killed the enjoyment of the game for me and my Sailing Friends.

I’d like to add an important follow-up to my previous complaint, because the logic behind this system makes even less sense the more I look at it.

How can non-physical gold stored in an account be lootable during an enter action, while physical items like cannons on a ship—which are literally sitting there—are protected from being taken during an enter?

Where exactly is the logic in that?

Just to be clear: I fully understand that gold stored in chests can be lost if a ship sinks or during an enter action—because those are physical storage containers. That makes sense.

But the rest does not.

Even if this is stated somewhere in your encyclopedia, account gold is not a physical object, and therefore it should not be lootable. At the very least, the game/system must clearly warn players that their account balance is at risk in PvP situations.

This inconsistency is extremely frustrating and feels completely unfair.

When you make gold chests and store it at a port it will be safe even when entered 😉
takes some time to do it but thats a way to store it for good for pvp players.
Your not a pvp player and i understand your frustration but yeah they can steal 10% of your gold, or they can steal cargo or crew.

Nope, gold in your bank SHOULD be lootable for pvp risk. Otherwise making chest has no point.

If you don't want to be looted, run peaceflag.

HOWEVER I do AGREE the game has to tell you that it's lootable

Logic: you are carrying all that gold, in cash, all in your boat

Yep, all of them in the boat itself

The way you store it is to make gold chest which turn it into piggybanks

So now imagine you are carrying tons of gold on your ship and expect pirate not to rob it

"Oooh but its too heavy to carry it on the boat"
Well the game has no bank system in post apocalypse world and all your gold is what you carry atm, aside what you saved in piggybanks chest. So there u go

I certainly understand the frustration here. I think the system itself should remain, but like other systems the game is horrendous at actually explaining it (or even mentioning it, in this case) to new players. There definitely needs to be a more thorough tutorial to explain the game mechanics.

Totally understand u and kinda rip that aint explained in the start of the game but what u can do is buy chest on auction house or make a buy order
