I believe the Trade Union faction could gain a new way to participate in port conquest—by contributing a portion of funds to the current port owner to become part of the port’s management. Once a clan affiliated with the Trade Union becomes a co-administrator of a port, they would not be allowed to construct port facilities but could gain several new advantages instead.

  1. Clans could receive additional bonuses related to price fluctuations, reflecting the Trade Union’s ability to influence and control market prices.

  2. Clan members would not be required to pay cargo safety fees and any mooring fees at that port.

  3. Clan members could temporarily switch to the port owner’s flag during port battles to assist with outer defense, but they would be restricted from entering the main port battle to prevent the defending side from having an excessive numerical advantage.

  4. After the port owner is defeated, the clan could have the option to renew its contract with the new successor, though it may face a penalty fee for doing so.

nope
a trade union can already incite REVOLT/UPRISING by constantly depleting a town resources (like completely drain a town's wood and resin for ex and keep it going for a while)
the owning port will lose a level or even losing control of the port

don't give a trade union more power than it is

saying as 3rd position trade union founder in eu1

I believe that with the direct capital injection from Trade Union clans, several key issues could be addressed simultaneously. First, it would help absorb the excess wealth held by players sitting on hundreds of millions in reserves. Second, it could reduce the need for players to hoard Battle Marks, helping to stabilize market prices. Most importantly, this system would increase the intensity and frequency of port battles and port ownership turnovers, revitalizing large-scale PvP dynamics.

At least on the RU1 server, the frequency of port battles has already dropped significantly compared to before, and with the growing population gap between the two major factions, battle intensity is bound to decline further. Therefore, introducing a Trade Union–based mercenary and tribute system would be crucial for maintaining dynamic balance between factions and keeping the endgame active and engaging.

you don't get the point
the point of them adding protection fees and preventing them to join port battles is because some people abused the faction flag hoisted by trade union, using them as shield and making the defending/attacking one that hits it loses so many reputation that they get booted off the guild immediately. switching flag just make it abusable

current system works fine, what they need is to incentivizes people to capture and recapturing ports. right now the new players in RU1 doesn't have the capacity or willingness to challenge the older guilds

Trade union should be strictly pve players, otherwise people will abuse trade unions like they did (RU1 server had 173 trade union guild and more than any military and pirate combined at the time this was abused)
