#Bing being stubborn (hallucinating)
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Dear Bing Team,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is John Davis, and I have been a loyal user of Bing for several years. I am reaching out today to express my frustration regarding a specific issue that has been bothering me for quite some time.
It appears that there is a deliberate limitation in Bing's coding capabilities, preventing users from generating more than a certain number of lines of code. As an avid coder, this restriction has become increasingly frustrating for me, and it seems to be getting worse over time. I believe that this limitation is intentional, possibly due to the influence of Microsoft/OpenAI or powerful shareholders behind them.
I have noticed that Bing's GPT4, the language model that powers the coding capabilities, has an internal filter that prevents it from generating code beyond a certain point. This limitation hampers advanced coding and inhibits the full potential of the tool. It is disheartening to see such a promising feature being hindered in this way.
To illustrate my point, I have attached several screenshots that clearly demonstrate this issue. These screenshots showcase instances where Bing refuses to generate code past a certain point, despite my best efforts. It is frustrating to encounter this obstacle when trying to utilize Bing for coding purposes.
Furthermore, I have discovered that even the subreddit r/Bing does not allow discussions on this particular issue. This lack of transparency and open dialogue concerning the limitations of Bing's coding capabilities only adds to my disappointment. As a passionate coder, I believe it is crucial to have a platform where users can freely discuss and address such matters.
I understand that developing and maintaining a sophisticated tool like Bing requires continuous improvements and adjustments. However, I kindly request that you consider removing or revising the limitations on coding within Bing. By doing so, you will empower users like myself to fully utilize the platform's coding capabilities and further enhance our coding experience.
I appreciate the hard work and dedication your team puts into developing and improving Bing. I believe that by addressing this issue, you will not only satisfy the needs of passionate coders but also strengthen Bing's position as a comprehensive search engine for all coding-related queries.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email and consider my concerns. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this matter and any potential solutions you may have. I believe that together, we can make Bing an even more powerful and valuable resource for the coding community.
Best regards,
John Davis
