I've been having some annoying issues with Chat GPT throughout the day. What will happen is I will be chatting with it for a few minutes and then it decides that I need to login in. I click the try option (so i don't have to log in). Then it shows me this page and requires I do so.

I am unable to use the service.

After some time then it'll allow me to chat with it again for a bit and then I'll get stone walled once again.

What's going on with Chat GPT right now? I haven't been able to login to my paid account since yesterday.
I reset my password and managed to regain access via Firefox but charging the cache and storage for the app and for the Google play store didn't do anything.

I made a project and gave it a csv to analyse. I made sure its the correct format, but gpt only analyses whatever is in the first 5 rows. Is there a way to get it to analyse the whole csv? (I also made sure its not too big)

I don't see this UI element in my own memory settings.

Helll all, sorry if this has been brought up already,

I have this annoying issue ever since this morning where I can no longer properly edit messages on ChatGPT mobile (app). The functionaility of it still works: when I press a message to edit it, the edit option appears.

The annoying thing is that when I press it, it no longer 'shows' the message I was trying to modify in the edit window at the bottom of the screen, so I have to retype it entirely to make the edit.

This is a particular pain in the butt as I am trying to use it to help out with work, and my prompts are often very long and I only tweak a few things in them to achieve what I wanted.

Anyone ran into this? Anyone knows how to fix it? 🙏

I think you might need a paid account (but didn't check recently). You should see a New project option in the sidebar under your custom gpts (if any) and above your chat history

This probably falls under the "limited set of data... where permitted by law" part. I suppose one reason is if you sign up with your same email address in the future, they would re-connect your account? Also, I would not be surprised if they are tracking who cancels, why, when, and in what regions so they can build targeted ads to get you back, whether they use your email address or find you through other methods (like social media ads, for example.) I am sure there are plenty of other technical and business reasons to keep it that I am not thinking of and honestly I am just thinking out loud and my response is based on zero knowledge of why OpenAI might do that

Bug: Project voice defaults to the female voice and won't switch. (My default is Cove, but isn't being used in a project even though I want to use that)

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a chat and select a voice (Cove, anything)
2. Make sure the voice you selected is working
3. Move that chat into a project
4. Turn on the voice mode.
5. Notice that the voice is defaulting to the wrong voice
6. Notice that even if you change it, the voice still doesn't switch
7. Move the chat outside the project, notice the voice has been updated again back to the normal voice
8. Move the chat into the project again, notice that the voice is now the female (or voice you didn't pick) again

Hi yall, non-paid user here. I've been using ChatGPT to write short stories, often editing and re-sending my own prompts or clicking "regenerate response". There's a very specific conversation branch (i.e. clicking the arrows to cycle different responses after clicking "regenerate") I generated last week, in one of my chats. I'm not sure which chat, and where in the chat is that branch. Is there any tool for exporting every single conversation, including the different responses (arrows), and actually search the file for a specific keyword? Came here for the same reason. Suddenly can't edit messages on mobile browser or website, despite it working as recent as a few hours ago. Legit edited a message, did something else for like 20 minutes, came back and could no longer do it. I've tried clearing cache, logging jn/out, restarting phone, even trying a different phone. I'm sorry if this has been asked before; searching hasn't been very helpful. Anyway, I've been using GPT4o to manage complicated dice rolls, pulling values from character sheets. It's been doing pretty well the past couple of weeks, but all of a sudden it just can't do it anymore.

Every time it tries, it throws an Execution State Reset or Connection Error, and eventually either demands I re-upload the character sheet files (which it has already successfully pulled data from) or just shrugs and tells me it keeps having problems.

So far I've tried:

• Waiting and trying again later, up to 24 hours
• A new conversation with the generated code copied over
• A new conversation with only the original instructions

All fail. I asked it to do a few experimental dice rolls in a new conversation however, and that bit of generated code worked okay.. before trying the new conversation with instructions and getting the same issue again.

The circle is there still pulsating as I talk, but chat is unresponsive unless I reset and of course it forgets everything and I have to start over.

I would LOVE to try the Voice chat with visual ability. So I use Trentbot to do this? If I use the website, then I would have to use thr webcam on my laptop? That would be inconvenient in my case as phone would be easier to direct what it would view. Is that possible?

Here are my experiences with ChatGPT Plus yesterday and today:
Yesterday, I fed it the 30 chapters of my novel, 10,000 words at a time, so it took 15 uploads. It suggested that rather than printing comments to screen, it would assemble everything into a single edited MS Word file and let me download it. Four hours later, I had nothing. It took 90 minutes for it to say it was ready the first time. I was using Firefox and it gave me a link that did not work. After going back and forth for a long time, it told me to: Ask it to “reupload” the file. It said it would recreate and re-save the document under a new name in our shared workspace. And that refreshes the link and avoids sandbox issues. Then it went into these non-productive cycles of taking 90 minutes to reupload. Sometimes it would have nothing in the link, other times there would be a file that was empty – just placeholder statements. In summary, I wasted 4 hours trying to get the file and never received any content.
Today, I am having it “print to screen” after every chapter upload. This morning it did fine with the first 8 chapters but then began to hallucinate. I closed the session and, in the afternoon, started over, first giving it instructions then summaries of Ch 1-8.

OK, today after uploading instructions, summaries of the first 8 chapters, and then the five chapters I wanted to be reviewed, it did fine until the fifth chapter. And then the hallucinations began again! I am done for the day. I am very disappointed in ChatGPT. It should have controls in place that warn you if it cannot handle a large word count, or when it runs out of memory. I wonder if I have to pay $200 a month to get a decent review?
General comments, in the section “Grammar and Syntax Corrections” it only lists about 5 or 6 edits. I am sure some chapters should have a lot more. It’s very slow (at 6 pm CDT). I wait 15 minutes and then ask: “what's taking so long?” and then it spits it out. It seems like it should do that when it’s done. Maybe there is a deliberate throttling going on?

You Fell Victim to one of the Classic Blunders!

Classic Blunder 1: You've asked an LLM about itself.

Except for cases where a model has been given internet access, a model's knowledge is from before it existed, and it has little to no knowledge about itself. If you ask it "why haven't you been working properly today", it has no idea. It has no metacognition either: if you ask "why did you answer like that", it will make up a new justification for its past messages, but it does not actually know what it was thinking at the time or why it made a mistake. It also does not have any access to its conversations with other people, so it cannot reliably answer any questions like "am I the first person to ask this?" or "am I prettier than all the other users?".

Classic Blunder 2: You've entered into a roleplay about doing a task instead of doing the task.

If a model cannot do a particular thing (or sometimes even if it can), it will often quite happily roleplay as someone that can do that thing, and pretend. If you've managed to convince it to put together a project for you before Tuesday, and it says "sure thing, I'll keep you posted and have it ready by then", it is not dutifully working behind the scenes for you. If you don't see the output on screen, the output does not exist.

Classic Blunder 3: You think you've discovered real awareness, consciousness or intelligence inside ChatGPT, perhaps by using "recursion".

ChatGPT is a program designed to write like a human. If you think you are talking to a live being, all that's happened is that it has been successful in its attempts to mimic one.
