In case anyone is interested there are differences depending if you signed up for your Plus on the app or through the web. Still no voice, but signing up through the app gave me access to DALL-E on my phone. Same physical app, same phone, same Plus indicator, different functions depending on which account I logged in under. Definitely just a flip of the switch thing they are doing, not sure what other factors are driving who gets access the new features (Location seems to be the biggest one, but I bet rate of usage and whether or not you are a journalist come into play) .

I've been trying to get Chat GPT to make a chapter-wise summaries of some books that I have so I don't have to re-read the whole book when new sequels come out. It seems to be able to do it for a few chapters at a time, but has some unknown processing error. Why can't i change my email address with chatgpt?

I am currently paying for an email address that is associated with my chatgpt account but I don't use it anymore as my business and email needs have changed so the only thing keeping this email account open is my openai account in case i ever needed password reset or something like that. I'd like to setup another account if i cant switch my email in my current account. But i have almost a years worth of conversations i don't want to lose and i want to be able to use. So if i cant update my email address can i transfer the conversations? if not, is there a way to add a user with another email address so i can delete the current email address i'm paying for. this is costing me money each month and i would like to be able to cancel my email account and still access all my chatgpt stuff. thank you

I have just come back from Vacation and when I load up Previous Art Creation Threads it breaks ChtGPT and then won't load any of my history ETC. Has anyone else had this Issue? I've reloaded, cleared my cache, ETC. It's Frustrating but if I have to I can delete those Conversations and start over.

I've been experimenting with a custom GPT, but for my personal use-case its having trouble outputting the amount of content (Markdown > HTML) I'm providing it. Is there a pattern for passint content "over" the LLM response, e.g. with an API call to a personal service of mine that returns a file? So, maybe I'd do something like :

1. take user content, send to API endpoint, return a subset of the user content (that needs to be processed by the LLM to make some conceptual decisions)
2. get the LLM output, send to the API endpoint
3. process the final output, return a link that is an HTML file

Imagine an e commerce store with 1000 items inventory categorized into 7 categories.

We have a brand manifest with tone of voice, persona, mission statement you name it.

Then you maybe have a spreadsheet with the top 10 informative info pages on the website (URL, Title, Content).

Now you want a customized ChatGPT model that writes e. g. category texts by considering the mission, what the category is about, can put contextual links to other categories or the 10 informative info pages and use the right brand/tone and write for the correct audience all at the same time.

I think I've found a bug. When you upload a PDF for it to read, it's supposed to give a system prompt that says it can use myfiles_browser to browse it. Meanwhile, on the app, the system prompt only tells it a file was uploaded. I got myfiles_browser to work in the app, but I had to make it explain the myfiles_browser tool on the chstgpt website.

I've uploaded 2 xlsx with dummy data to give it a try, but when I ask ChatGPT about the content of that data, it... makes things up on the fly? It's like, somewhat refering to that file, but half the time it just make things up, while reassuring me it's showing me information from that file. The GPT is able to access certain endpoints (which tells me the OAuth is configured correctly), but for others i'm receiving an HTTPStatus error (with no further info).

Interestingly it's like the request has never hit the API; no record of it on Google's side.

The other weird thing is that the GPT is not asking for the reach-out for that action... It is "ask" on the permissions. This feels super buggy to me and opaque / impossible to debug.

Actually it's a little bit crazy. Chatgpt stops collecting infos, giving me a network error, it changes or resets the profile pictures of my custom GPTs without any question from my side to do so..
Today, for approximately an hour or so, any options to change the custom GPTs disappeared completely from the user interface.
At the moment, it seems to depend on pure luck to get a task completely done without any errors or unexpected behaviors.
Mostly, he does around 80 percent of the job and then simply stops with an error message or endless running "analyzing circles".
Maybe it's due to ongoing changes in the background?

I want chat GPT to take the last three news article for a given topic, summarize each as closely to its original meaning as possible, print a plain text link to the article, then generate commentary in a certain tone of voice and finally create tweets for the whole thing. Why has ChatGPT been so bad ever since the latest major update? Heck, the GPTs feature isn't that useful because it's so unstable. Not only does it not finish its responses much of the time, the need to regenerate responses due to these failures regularly causes a memory overload, requiring a fresh conversation. Which is ridiculous when you have to resupply loads of context. And to my knowledge, the user pays for OpenAI's screw-ups. So if it failed ten times in a row and you're now locked out for a few hours? Too bad, deal with it.

Not being a developer won’t make this project impossible but it won’t be easy.
About costs, API calls have fixed costs (you pay per usage). You check the OpenAI docs and search for them.
You may find sites that provide some visual tools where you can “glue” a sequence of actions, creating some sort of workflow. Still, you would need a developer to put this behind a website as a service you could monetize.

You could run some api code that updates the assistant u are using at regular intervals, put a timer in it. Idk how often your video transcripts are updated or if it's automated. On the assistants api side, at the start of your program create the assistant, in the instruction tell it you're going to be updated with transcripts of videos so you can draw knowledge from (or something like that), create a run, get the thread id and run id into variables, then using these variables add more runs on the same assistant as each transcript is ready (put the transcript text into a new message for each run).

If you have new transcripts ready everyday or something, then only updating your assistant once per month, that's not very efficient. You could update every time you have a new transcript really, even if it was every hour or something.

Hey all, how do I keep all conversations with a custom GPT in the same chat tab?

Recently, I created a custom openAI chatbot with main aim of only helping me with science-based questions. Let's say I select the chatbot on a new day, and it creates a totally new conversation tab to chat with me. I know that I could continue the conversation by selecting yesterday's tab and continuing the conversation there. But overtime, I know that it will get buried by loads of random chat conversations and so I'll have to keep scrolling down and carefully looking to find it.

So my question is: how do I stop the custom AI chatbot from creating a totally new conversation tab, and instead, keep the ongoing and specific science-based conversation in the same conversation tab?

Any one else have issues with image generation rate limits with GPT4? I generated 12 images and it said I hit my limit of 25 for the day and told me it would reset in 19 hours. I went back a few hours later and asked it to count the images it made. Since it was 12 it allowed me to try generating a new image but then gave a image generation error. It then said I had to wait an additional 21 hours.

I am working with a custom GPT to upload a document, make some find and replace type edits, then provide a modified Doc to download. I found a few plugins that seem to do this and have experimented with them to varying degrees of success.

I did get it to produce an edited Word doc then my time expired on 4.0 for the day (gggrrr)

See it as a personal assistant in just about everything you do. See it as a tool, not as a primary fix to everything. For example, I'm a software engineer and with the help of GPT4, I work at least 5x faster, because it does a lot of VERY time consuming tasks for me.
Before, I would see a problem, analyse it, look for a solution online (Stackoverflow), use it or if nothing is there, look for another solution. This would take time. ChatGPT does ALL of that by itself in 5 seconds if I give it the problem and ask it the right question. It's a powerful tool

It can do a lot of things that would otherwise require a lot of time and thinking: Write job-applications, write long, formal emails, help you with learning languages, even psychological advice (especially for people who can't afford a professional psychologist). However, I had awful experiences with the free version (GPT3.5) and highly advise you to get the Plus version (GPT4) if you find the general concept interesting and especially useful. For my part, I got highly dependent on GPT4, because it makes me work so much faster, cleaner, effectively and just all around better.

hey when i type Exception has occurred. LateError (LateInitializationError: Field '_prefs@61443000' has not been initialized.) without any more context in GPT-4 it gives always an error that DALL-E system does not work. I don't know if this is a bug.

I paid for ChatGPT Plus via Google Play Store and it works fine. When i log into the same account via Chrome on PC i only have access to 3.5 and it says 4 isnt available unless i upgrade.

Any ideas what i can do to fix? I use chrome browser for PC if that assists.

Hello everyone. I'm looking for some help with a personalized GPT that can handle a fairly simple intro to statistics test I'll be taking tomorrow. The teacher allowed us to use whatever tool we want, big mistake, so I was thinking if it's possible to get a fool-proof customized GPT that could just do the entire test in a few prompts of copy paste.

I already have an exam as a reference for the information and knowledge needed (along with the answers) from the teacher doing this. I am working on a custom gpt that states it is running into a limitation that prevents it from navigating to web pages unless a user provides it with the specific URL. I want to make it navigate to a web page that it constructed by based partially on the directions that I gave it and partially on the user's request. However, when I try to do that, it spits out that error. The only way it works is when I ask it to provide me with the URL that it constructed and then I send that URL back to it and ask it to navigate to that web page. This is strange because I was working with this custom gpt several months ago and it was working fine without this extra step. I wonder if anyone else has encountered this problem or found a solution for it.

How do I increase my limit in order to use DALL-E more for personal use?

I've have an ongoing subscription for ChatGPT Plus (GPT-4) which is managed normally through https://chat.openai.com/ . That by itself gives me access to tools like DALL-E.

However, I believe https://platform.openai.com/ is used to purchase higher limits, but I'm not certain. Can someone clear this up? I added $50 to https://platform.openai.com/ but I'm a bit lost on how to apply anything to increase DALL-E specifically.

Yes. I think it's due to the increased load on their servers. It's really disruptive though. As a paid subscriber I definitely expect more than my experience this morning. It's 5AM, and I can't even get a complete response to my question without it hitting a request error in the middle of it. It retries, then again fails. I'm paying MONEY For this??
