Hey what's up yall, I've been having some issues with chatgpt on my PC and I was wondering if you guys had any input because it genuinely feels like I've tried everything. I'm trying to use chatgpt (not gpt+) using google chrome, on windows 10 without a vpn. I've tried starting a new chat in the gpt UI, refreshing the page, reloading the whole window, restarting my PC, clearing the cached data and hard refreshing, disabling and uninstalling all of my Chrome plugins, switching to Edge, confirming I'm using the same credentials and login method I used to make the account, and temporarily disabling the Windows firewall. Despite this, I get a generic, "Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com" with no error codes or specifics to possibly trace the issue. The strange part about this is that it works 100% fine on my iPhone 12, also using google chrome. I'm just very confused and would like to use ChatGPT on my home PC. Any and all input would be appreciated, I'm hoping I just missed something basic lol

Hey. Is there any JS library supporting ChatGPT API, but without NodeJS? I want to create a simple WebExtension (an extension for browsers), and I think nodejs is not the best possible route. when I start a new chat in ChatGPT I can choose between 3.5 and 4. Sometimes I got the hint after a couple of requests, hat I have to wait in order to continue with model 4. Or I can switch to 3.5.
When I do this, can I switch back to model 4 within this chat after some time?
I ask because when I have a very deep topic, and the briefing of ChatGPT to play a specific role (like a TechJournalist, or a special Bank advisor etc.) was very intense, it is annoying to continue the conversation with model 3.5.

GPT is good, but I wouldn't rely on it as my sole source of programming knowledge because 1) it's not perfect and 2) it's slightly outdated, so it might not know about the latest stuff. If you've only used GPT to learn coding, then I'd recommend looking at something comprehensive on whatever programming languages you use, to make sure you haven't missed anything.

I'm trying to use GPT for Sheets to build some cold email first lines.

I've been experimenting with prompts inside of the normal ChatGPT client and I've worked out a good prompt structure.

When using this with my API key inside of Google Sheets (using GPT for Sheets), my output is completely different, and MUCH lower quality.

Without knowing your prompt and input data is kinda difficult to give you a concrete suggestion but I would play with (1) trying in playground different prompts and (2) definitely increasing the # of max_tokens to 1024.

Don't use chat.openai.com/chat for these tests. Give preference to the playground as you get closer to the API.

If you switched from GPT-4 to GPT-3.5, you can't go back to GPT-4 again. This is a limitation on their side. You can of course manually copy/paste/adapt your conclusion from previous chats and start a new one with GPT-4.

Hey guys, I have been using ChatGPT Plus and noticed something strange today. Since this morning, I haven't been able to see the dropdown option to select between GPT-4 and GPT-3.5-Turbo. Additionally, I noticed that the ChatGPT version has been updated from March 23rd to May 3rd.

Hi guys. I have a really big trouble with ChatGPT. Yesterday I purchased ChatGPT Plus in Kazakhstan, it is sure available there, but today it logged me out and I can't log in anymore, as it says "OpenAI services are not available in your country". Even though I logged in with the exact IP address I used when I bought Plus. In fact, my IP is static and never changes. I've created a ticket, but I vaguely recall that tickets take months to be responded, so what do I do? My money is being wasted right now, and what's most funny is that I can't even unsubscribe, because I can't access my billing settings due to the same error. I tried clearing cache and cookies and log in from different devices to no avail. What's even worse is that my bank has never heard of chargebacks, and even to re-issue this card, I need to drive hundreds of miles to the other side of the country. Now random business user searches for "How do I solve my random xyz business problem?"
