I mean, honestly, if you just look through the news a bit at the kind of stuff discord isn't moderating (like with predators, I won't go into details), it's kind of a shitshow. It's not illegal though, they don't have to let us exist on their platform if they don't feel like it. From their end, all they see is a bunch of people flooding in, then hitting Report after they get muted for spamming or don't get the free stuff they feel like they deserve right away.

So if you're a discord turbojanny, all you see is this abnormal spike in new users followed by a bunch of reports. Could be any scam as far as they know, I mean we saw (and rapidly banned) quite a few people directly trying to scam others with Sora invites. Spinning up servers, asking for $, dropping age inappropriate content, etc.

It's slop in the sense that it's incredibly fast to produce, and filling the internet. I am personally a bit worried about the effects this will have, considering how impressive it can be. Although it doesn't do everything well. Trying to output realistic fantasy scenes for example seems pretty hard, always goes to a CG or game style look, when I've tried so far.
