Yeah that's true, that was pretty barebones compared to this though, search with Bing mostly just pulled 5 websites up to 9, this sometimes looks at close to 20 and it lists the sources way better (alongside new images and embeds)

I'd recommend chatgpt since it's just the best all around package, copilot is also good for free and claude gives you access to a few free prompts a day. Most general purpose text based ai subscriptions are 20$ a month, but you can also use grok for 10$ a month on Twitter.

I wouldn't recommend gemini though, it fails at even simple tasks.

If you want full access to chatgpt and claude you can pay 40$ a month, both are 20$.

No o1-preview is still a tiny bit better than the new sonnet 3.5, its the most powerful public model, but the difference is very small. If you were to just choose one i would recommend chatgpt because it has more features, the only feature claude has that chatgpt doesn't are artifacts, it can display a preview of website code for example right in the application, but chatgpt has something similar called canvas, but its more of an editor and you'll need to copy paste the code yourself. Chatgpt has more features overall, you won't just get access to o1 btw, there are a lot of models you can use for different purposes.

I am so glad you brought this to attention here. For months, I've noticed this pattern as well. Information was very scarce on the web back in August/September when I conducted research on this.

My best theory: ChatGPT actually uses GPT-4 first, regardless if GPT-4o is selected or not. Then after that, it goes to GPT-4o, then GPT-4o mini
