I would say they are both pessimists, the way to cope with future death is too put it out of your mind, or relish something specific, almost everyone prays if they are on a deathbed. It's a great unknown so belieiving something specific is likely to be delusional, but if you don't make it your entire life like being a Nun it is a positive thing. I keep hearing to not concern myself with things I have no control over, death coming eventually is one, I should only concern myself with having good healthspan.
