Hi - Does anyone also noticed a difference in quality of output model gives when using it directly vs using is via perplexity? I have been experimenting recently by using Claude 4 and Gemini 2.5, and results of using it via Perplexity is quite underwhelming. The results are much better if i use it in Claude chat or Gemini App. This is mostly with respect to coding. One search tells me that Perplexity limits the context window, but even the output under 32K is not comparable.

Are pro models only to be used for search and analysis? Not sure if this was already discussed here and a known thing.

I'm another person who scored perplexity pro for free for a year due to having a Samsung phone. I very regularly use both paid ChatGPT and Gemini right now.

I feel like I have a pretty good understanding of those two LLMs and what they're good and bad at. I use ChatGPT for deep research, note taking from transcripts and ideating. I use Gemini for image and video generation, live chat back and forth for brainstorming and if I'm not happy with ChatGPT's results for deep research.

What should I be leaning into for Perplexity? I may very well be at a point of saturation here....I only added Gemini because I needed more storage and it essentially came with it for free vs filling a gap. (Though it is better at some things than ChatGPT)
