I have used chatgpt a lot to clear my doubts and answer my questions, and i have also used claude. personally, i preferred claude because of the way it understands prompts and gives detailed responses.
Until I watched a youtube video based in my regional language, i was not very familiar with perplexity. after that, i started using it and really liked it. what stood out to me was the browser-based functionality. it works directly with the browser, takes control, and does tasks on my behalf instead of me doing everything manually.
I first used the free version and slowly got familiar with how it works. over time, i started moving from other llms to this one. eventually, i made my first paid subscription and started using it more. it has been very helpful in organizing my work, identifying pending tasks, and understanding what i need to do next.
There are both pros and cons to browser-level usage, but overall i like it so far. i hope these improvements continue, and in the future the language model can understand user needs right from the beginning, that would help reduce our workload a lot.
Overall, in recent days this llm package has been very helpful and effective. i just wish it could understand each user’s working style more quickly, making it easier to give prompts and helping it understand our queries better and provide more accurate answers.

I’m an AI & full-stack engineer. I mostly work on workflow automation, LLM stuff, RAG, AI detection, and a bunch of image/voice AI projects. A lot of it is already running in real production, which has been pretty fun (and painful sometimes 😄).
I’ve built pipelines and task orchestration systems using things like Dspy, OpenAI APIs, and custom agents. One project I’m especially proud of is a support automation setup that ties together Slack, Notion, and internal APIs with an LLM. It ended up cutting response times by around 50%, which honestly felt great to see.
I’ve also been pretty deep into RAG pipelines lately. Mixing vector DBs with graph DBs, doing hybrid search, and writing custom retrieval logic. All that kind of work just to make sure answers stay accurate and context-aware once things hit production.
On the AI content detection side, I worked on tools for a moderation platform. Stylometry, embedding similarity, some fine-tuned transformers — kind of a mixed approach. It worked surprisingly well at catching GPT-generated text.
For image AI, I set up tagging and moderation pipelines using CLIP and YOLOv8 on AWS Lambda + S3. It handles thousands of images a day for an e-commerce platform. Nothing fancy on the surface, but very solid under the hood.
And for voice AI, I built a voice cloning and transcription service with Whisper and Tacotron2. ASR, TTS, CRM integration — the whole thing. Personalized voice assistants are actually doable now, which is wild.
Overall, I focus on building scalable, production-ready AI systems end-to-end. From model selection or fine-tuning all the way to backend integration and deployment. That’s kind of my thing.

Hello everyone, I started with perplexity with almost no knowledge About ai at all and make my way into this world and learn when snd how to use it for example. I though watching people with more knowledge is more interesting and closer to my experience than articles.
I’m 33 from Germany, and like (almost) everything related to audio. Former event technician, DJ and producer. I surely don’t know anything but I’m pretty good informed in this field at least. I also started playing around with arduinus. So I transitioned from hard labor to desk work and hobby which is qui t challenging for me without the tiniest bit of knowledge about the subject. But that’s another story.
I’m sure I’m going to ask a question or two if I can’t get my head around something you guys discuss and can’t find an answer in a reasonable time. I’m usually pretty fast up there but sometimes i act like the first human on earth. So don’t estimate me 😉

I'm totally excited to be part of this Discord channel.
I just wanted to share that I picked up an annual Pro subscription a couple of days ago, and it's been totally worth it so far. I used to subscribe to ChatGPT Go, Grok Premium, Gemini Plus, and Claude. After seeing some recommendations online, I decided to give Perplexity a shot. It is honestly wild that it offers access to all those other tools in a single package with much better limits.
I've already canceled most of my other subscriptions. I'm keeping Gemini Plus for now because of Nano Banana Pro, but I'm saving quite a bit of money. I might even upgrade to the Max version soon, which would let me fully drop Gemini and just stick with Google for storage.
This has definitely been the best investment I've made this year!

Hi I'm Eric from San Jose. Pilates keeps me out of back pain so why I'm usually the only guy at the local studio classes perplexes me. What brought me here is a baffling repeating failure of the Perplexity gDrive Connector. A couple of hours ago I could attach any gDrive asset, no problem. Now, nothing will attach to my Space's knowledge area and Resync efforts fail. Size of file, permissions settings, and type of file don't seem to matter. Also, I tried disconnecting the gDrive connector and then reconnecting it (making sure to re-authorize Perplexity). Any insights are appreciated!
