#gLasiiiTTV - Crashing Issue

Okay @regal walrus Give me a moment to look through
Okay so I am not seeing anything in the log suggesting something is going wrong, it pretty much just states that it was waiting for the GPU to respond and it never did so it assumed a GPU crash happened.
Granted I can only understand certain bits of the log, most of that is info for the devs.
I think the first thing I would do is run a monitoring software like GPU-Z to check and make sure nothing is getting overloaded or nothing is overheating.
You can download it here: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-gpu-z/
Just keep it running while the game is being played and keep an eye on it. Pay close attention to any spikes or dips that happen right before or during the crash.
Hopefully this will give us more information on what might be going on.
Hey, thx for opening a Thread. i tested it with GPU-Z and here is the log. What i can say in the moment i got the crash... when i look a stream, the stream will stop to with an decoding error.
The temps are not over 60celcius on my GPU and cpu not over 70celcius
Okay, sorry for the late response, I was in bed.
Looking at your GPU Data I can say your hardware looks healthy, along with the temperatures being good, the loads look good as well as everything else.
It's good that we have at least eliminated your GPU Hardware and CPU/Memory hardware as a potential issue. I am going to go ahead and look through the latest log you posted as well and see if anything more is shown in there.
putting it here for future reference as well:
Okay, again the log looks fairly good up until the crash notification. While there is a few more errors suggesting your VRAM was overloaded than I usually see, it did happen just after a player teleportation, which does load in a lot of assets.
With your hardware being stable and your game not giving any indications that something is wrong until the crash, it's possible we are looking at a driver issue or software interrupting your game in some way.
Since we appear to be on very different schedules, I am going to put a few suggestions in here so that hopefully one of them will help you.
Let's start with the software, since it's easier -
- In task manager, go into "startup apps" and disable anything that isn't necessary for windows to run excluding steam. If you aren't sure , a quick google search should tell you whether or not you need it to run. You should also disable any GPU of computer software that might altar the game in some way, like NVidia App, Armoury Crate or MSI Afterburner.
- Once you have disabled all the programs, restart your computer and start up the game without loading any additional software including discord, Browser windwos or the like.
- If the game runs stable and doesn't crash, you can go back into task manager and re-add each software one at a time to see which software might be causing the issue.
- If the game continues to crash you can reload all the software again and go on to the next step
After that I would suggest downloading and installing the "Vulkan runtime installer from their website to maybe see if the vulkan itself is having issues. This should have been done in one of the steps in the minidump command, but sometimes it's missed.
You can download the software from this website:
https://vulkan.lunarg.com/sdk/home
And make sure it is the latest version for windows, and specifically the one labeled "Vulkan Runtime Installer"
After that we are looking at a potential driver issue or corruption. Since you already did DDU in the minidump steps to install the latest version, I would normally suggest trying to roll back to the January 30th version of the game, however since you have a 5070, that version is unavailable, and the versions between then and the most current ones have been causing some issues with vulkan games.
- The only suggestion I could have in this situation, is if you didn't run the DDU software when doing the minidump steps, to do so now, and to make sure you download the file directly from their website and not use their software to install it, if you had maybe done that before.
Let me know how these work out. I hope one of them is able to fix the issue for you.
Hey, short response... yesterday i used DDU again and after new installing the nvidia Driver and installing Runtime Vulkan again. i did played Enshrouded for 2 Hours without any Crash on all Settings on medium. i will response if its done for a longer testing.
Sounds good! let me know.
ok.. today i wanna start the game.... same issue as before.... Game Crash with the same error.... GPU Crash... maybe its a nvidia 50er prob.... idk... is something knowen about problems with nvidia 50er?
Ya i have a 5080 and i get the minidump crash on loading screen i've tried everything and nothing works most i've gotten out of it was about 5 mins of gameplay then crashed again. Hopefully just waiting for a fix at this point!
Every crash is different. I would suggest posting in the main troubleshooting channel for someone to look at your stuff to see if we can help you.
I am not sure what the devs know. I have seen quite a few people with 50x cards in here with issues, however some have been solvable others haven't. Give me a second to look through this latest log though and see if I can see anything else
Did we already disable all of your overlays?
im not quit sure... but i read yesterday a post that PCI E Gen5 curses blackscreens in some other games....so yesterday night i switched my Gen mode in bios on Gen4... an atm i dont have any crashes... i will response to u if this sloved my GPU Crashes
ok... crash after 30 - 45min Playing.
i have disabled all overlays every time
after the last crash.. if tryed to rejoin... and at the game start its crashes again.... so i cleared my nvidia cach... and now i can join an played for 20 min atm
So I did some looking into the issues and posted in the main channel, but I'll pop it in here as well, as it could be relevant:
For those still having the issues loading into the game with Nvidia 50x series cards, an update on the issue:
NVidia has put this in the open issues section of their feedback for their driver:
...
[RTX 50 series] Enshrouded crashes after launching game [5279848]
...```
This means that they have been able to reproduce the issue on their side and are investigating it. While this doesn't mean 100% that the issue is the NVidia drivers, it is now the most likely scenario given the issue is series dependent, and they have put it in their open issues.
Unfortunately what this means for you guys is that for now, the only known fix is to roll back to version 572.16, however this is only possible for those with the 5080 and 5090 cards, as they were the only ones released at that time. People with the 5070 and 5060 cards who have this issue will not be able to roll back to that driver version, and we have yet to find another stable version for them to use in this channel.
I would suggest players who are having this issue to contact NVidia either through their official forums (like the threads listed in the above link) or publicly through twitter to increase visibility of the issue and show the impact of it so they will prioritize the issue and hopefully be able to fix it faster.

Hey, my Specs: AMD 9800x3d - 5070Ti - 64GB RAM - game on M.2.
I Found a fix for me and some other guys they had the same prob.
if i turned off the windows feature ... HAGS i can play without any Crashes. I can turn Grafik on whats else i want. no Crash. if i turned on HAGS on windows... game crashes....
i wrote with some people here in the Channel and toled them to do that... and every body how tried it... says it works.
i played on Windows 11 24h2
That could actually be consistent with the fix that someone else found, which was to turn "Vulkan/OpenGL Preset Method to native. Both settings could be related if there is a bug in the driver stack.
